We’ve already seen it from the Dems,.Is that when we see what childish is really all about?

I don’t dispute that and respect the argument. The issue was how it was framed. Instead of Biden saying something to the effect of he’ll certainly not overlook any qualified female of color and that he hopes one emerges, he blatantly said he will only consider a black female. That is not fair to her.
Yes, it's a nuanced and difficult discussion that would be interesting over beers....but this does give fodder to the 5-second sound bite that drives opinion television/radioI don’t dispute that and respect the argument. Oh, unfortunately, given the fact we still live in a fairly bigoted society, it goes well beyond that.Yes, it's a nuanced and difficult discussion that would be interesting over beers....but this does give fodder to the 5-second sound bite that drives opinion television/radio
C'mon man. "That's different."reagan should have STFU when elected saying he would nominate a woman to the supreme court. but thats reagan for you. the great grandstander.
Whether at the conscious or unconscious level, there are a lot of chicken-dicked conservative white men of average physical stature and below average intelligence who feel threatened by all this affirmative “blackaction” nonsense. While I still disagree with Biden’s approach, I do enjoy all these stupid, pussified betas providing hilarious displays of their insecurities about being largely irrelevant in life. 😆I wish he hadn’t as well just for the unwanted distraction it caused, but at the same time. People didn’t really blink an eye when trump promised to nominate a woman either.
Funny that the rest of us choose to see her as a qualified candidate and that's all you and your ilk will remember.Just wish Biden hadn’t made a spectacle of choosing a black woman. Her qualifications should be enough. Now she’s known as being chosen for her color and gender instead of her accomplishments.
Lots of projection going on above.Funny that the rest of us choose to see her as a qualified candidate and that's all you and your ilk will remember.
You brought it up but I'm the one projecting? Sure, I guess that checks out...Lots of projection going on above.
Was it fair to Sandra Day O’Connor or ACB when the presidents that nominated them laid down a gender marker? Was it fair to Clarence Thomas for him to be a quota nominee? NOBODY thought he was the best person to replace Thurgood Marshall.I don’t dispute that and respect the argument. The issue was how it was framed. Instead of Biden saying something to the effect of he’ll certainly not overlook any qualified female of color and that he hopes one emerges, he blatantly said he will only consider a black female. Everyone in the Senate hates him. I remember when he promised to step back from the Senate as he ran for president, then he got smoked, and he realized that he’s utterly disinterested in earning a real living anymore, and just wants to be a loud mouth on Fox while grifting off of stupid people.Every time I read about him, I completely understand why his neighbors kicked his ass.
No. No.Was it fair to Sandra Day O’Connor or ACB when the presidents that nominated them laid down a gender marker? Was it fair to Clarence Thomas for him to be a quota nominee? NOBODY thought he was the best person to replace Thurgood Marshall.
Yes but is he there physically?Everyone in the Senate has voted except Rand Paul. He is absent and they are holding the senate floor open for his vote.
You should just stfu.He should have just stfu and introduced her as the nominee without coming out beforehand saying he was selecting a black woman.
Also known as the "3 stooges".I don't think it was wrong to acknowledge that sad truth that institutional racism against black women was a driving reason for the lack of AA woman on the court. As such, the country missed out on some real excellent scholars like Barbara Jordan. Whether that was "in the past" as most GOP members like to believe or still existent (see Trump's short list of candidates), is still a question. But acknowledging the inherent unfairness that existed before and suggesting it needs to be corrected was not wrong.
I don’t see a post of you admitting to be a putz. Give me a few minutes and I’ll look for it.Glad you agree with me.
Why should I?I don’t see a post of you admitting to be a putz. Give me a few minutes and I’ll look for it.
To act as if, regardless of how Biden made the announcement ... even if he had never mentioned anything prior to it, as soon as he nominated a black woman, he would have been accused of doing it only because she was a black woman. To suggest that it's how it was set up as why people have a problem with it is foolish. She had a great background and there was no reason not to vote for her ... yet they did in unison.I don’t dispute that and respect the argument. The issue was how it was framed. Instead of Biden saying something to the effect of he’ll certainly not overlook any qualified female of color and that he hopes one emerges, he blatantly said he will only consider a black female. That is not fair to her.
Is that when we see what childish is really all about?
Precisely. What a disservice he did her.
DrinkOf course a white man would do this, make it all about him and how woke he is and grateful for the black vote
Will his man-perm hold up?
Someone find his neighbor.
