Next year is building experience with young talent for 2017 and 2018 could care less about win/loss. PG who shoots 92% fts already upgrade there. How much do you want to bet Iowa doesn't win 15 games next year?!
Real money? Send me your email.. It'll be a friendly wager.. Iowa doesn't dance again until 2018-2019I'd bet a lot on the over... A lot

WinnerWon't have to watch the same little white PG get his drive swatted, or turn ball over, or throw up brick in every clutch situation. Center position we will see dunks instead of missed bunnies. We are going to miss Uthoff big time, rest of seniors, meh.
LOL what we have now is the definition of "Fallback"Should be more athletic at some spots, but guard play going to be dicey. I like CW, but with no real PT, he is going to have a tall task and I am not going to comment on the fallback offer from Linn-Mar.
What are you, 14?How much do you want to bet Iowa doesn't win 15 games next year?!
I agree in glad these seniors are done with basketball but it's going to be real ugly next season.Tired of this same old song and dance. Congrats on your degree Seniors, next!
Agree, I'm excited about 2017 and beyond, next year is just getting a lot of moving parts together and experience for future seasons. Maybe Jok can go all world and they are somehow on the Bubble but I am not expecting it. Short term step back for long term gain.Next season...same o, same o. "One player with a cast of average." Three seasons ago Marble led the team to above average with a cast of youngsters. The next year everybody said watch out for White. He proceeded to lead the team to average. Then they said "JU" and he led the team to above average with the same cast around him. 2016-17... I feel sorry for Jok with an average cast around him.
A post who can get the board and THEN finish is the difference between 10 losses and only a few at this point. Cook, Wagner and others coming in next season will make us better on offense down low instantly.I personally believe Woodbury's defense will be missed more than we think right now, but his offense was so freaking pathetic. Yesterday he grabbed that offensive rebound and then tried to do the reverse layup, and of course he missed it. PERFECT three second summary of his career.
Clemmons' defense will also be missed.
As for Gesell, he was fine bringing the ball up the court, but I think we can replace that.
I'm not at all sold on Dom Uhl though. I just have no clue what he's trying to do when he dribbles, as it seems like there is always an ill-advised spin move or some violent change in direction before he launches a terrible looking shot. His 3-pointers are helpful though.

Eh, I like him but he needs to look in the mirror and change up a lot of things, we need New Fran next season going forward with late game strategy and timeout usage.Still got an utterly clueless hot headed coach so it won't matter, hopefully when Iowa goes below .500 in BIg that loser will be shown the door.

Agree but I am ok with that at this point. When you can't score you can't win over playing decent defense for 80% of game but not good enough to make up for not being able to do crap on O.Offensively yes, but on the other end we are going to be insanely worse son D.
Yes, I'm excited for the future and fully expect a step back next yaer but it will be temporary with the future seasons having much higher ceilings than what we have dealt with recently. If they win a tourney game next week great, but just cherry on top at this point.Trying not to add to the doom and gloom here, but I am really interested to see what Moss, Hutton, and Cook can bring to the table. At the very least, we should get some better size and athleticism on the wings and more muscle (hopefully more offense) down low.
Offensively yes, but on the other end we are going to be insanely worse son D.

Another way to look at those around Jok next season... which of the four or five would start for another above average BIG? That plus which ones was Iowa in a bidding war over with another good BIG program?
Yep, I like Bohannons ability to shoot and make FT's i'm sure a major work in progress as a ball distributor but I think Williams could end up being legit.Hutton - Wisconsin
Moss - ISU and Pitt
Cook - everyone
I guess I won't be watching much Iowa basketball next yr. That must mean less than 8 wins in the Big 10Iowa should be much worse next year. 15-17 wins sounds about right.
