You’ve lived in Florida long enough that you probably already have it. I got my Real ID about 13 years ago.

I took all my stuff in when I renewed in 2012 to get a real id and I just noticed this week that they didn't give me an dl with a star. Typical for FloriDuh, Spirit Airlines quality government with Spirit Airlines quality employees. I just ordered a new birth certificate from Ohio and a new SS card so I can get a new DL. I renewed my passport yesterday but that will take 6 weeks to arrive. I may have to drive to Illinois and back for my next trip. At least I can stop in Atlanta and Nashville along the way.

How about if you’re running my info against watch lists, you just go ahead and pull my TSA KTN from the database why you’re in there?

Back to the thread title, I don't understand why the government absolutely needs to REALly verify who you are to prevent you from bringing any weapons on board and keeping the skies safe.

The Real ID thing must have deeper motivations for the government, and I question whether it's a good thing for our liberties.

Same guy who yawns about Elon and Big Balls rampaging through the government and getting access to everything.

Chicago and Philadelphia. Now I can wait a week and not have to drive. My birth certificate and social security card should be here in another week or so but since I will have my passport, I can put off dealing with the drivers license office.

It’s been 44 days and 32 business days now and I’m still waiting on my birth certificate. Don’t think I’m going to get it before the 60 day window to renew your license. CSB

How far away do you live from the county you were born? You can get your birth certificate from the recorder's office in that county. That's what I had to do.

There are 99 counties in Iowa, so yeah, probably one of the BFE counties is where you grew up. Don’t take offense, just a lot of them in Iowa.
