imagine if the NFL adopted the College Bowl System....
you'd think it was stupid... and I would agree.
you'd think it was stupid... and I would agree.
Well, if it generated a half a billion to the NFL, I'm sure they would look into it. Bad comparison though, the NFL and the college game as very dissimilar.
bad comparison?... they both play football... college kids graduate and play in the NFL....
look... just because it generates money doesn't mean its good....
prostitution and cocaine generate money..
This terrible thread is terrible.
Who the hell does game projections based on last years results? You know, because kids don't graduate, schools don't get new recruits, players don't get injured, etc. Dumb idea is dumb.
Come again, Comrade?
I do threads based on such projections..
why does this infuriate you so much?
Because it's pointless. Basing your "projections" on last years results is pointless. Anyone can do it, but I bet you think you are pretty special for starting a thread about it!
What are your predictions for the same games that you have projections for?
I'm rooting for Iowa to win every single game... I don't make predictions.
predictions are for godless false prophets who deserve death.
but... if you really believed that there was no point to my thread... why comment?
and... yes... everybody can do it... its real simple.
predictions are for godless false prophets who deserve death.
Because it's funny, like you think you are on to something big here, but you are strictly basing your projections (same as predictions, but whatever), off of last years results.
Is this "system" some kind of church project?
You keep citing bible versus as a prohibition against betting. Now if you make a prediction, you deserve to die?
Are you a member of Al Queda or the more moderate Taliban sect?
Week 2 Matchups :
(1-0) Wisconsin @ (1-0) Michigan -------- 2:30 ABC
(0-0) Minnesota @ (0-1) Penn State ----- 2:30 BTN
(0-1) Rutgers @ (0-0) Ohio State ----------- 11:00 BTN
underlined teams are projected winners based on Last Game Played.
these are not predictions in the sense of forecasting a winner.
--and---
Its like a dog chasing it's tail.
therefore... when a person makes a prediction... they are making a prophecy... and even if they are right on their prediction 100% of the time... because it was not commanded to them by God Almighty.... they are to be put to death.
OK now its pretty obvious that you're here to preach some kind of weird "death to predictors" religion shiite. Its probably time to move this to the Deuteronomy Board.
This is one thing you sanctimonious religious types never seem to learn.
"Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things" (Romans 2:1).
It's not easy to troll in such a manner that you dance on that fine edge. Wildly silly enough to be loudly objectionable but with just enough taking yourself seriously that people aren't quite sure. We might be dealing with a master.
Took a hit today, Biegel out 2-4 weeks.you (Wisconsin) might go 8-1... but if you don't beat Iowa, you ain't winning the West.
I respect Iowa's program and its a home game for you.so let me get this straight. you say we got lucky last year, that you basically handed us the game and that we weren't going to score again in 5 additional quarters. also your D is better this year than last... yet you give us a 50/50 shot at winning this year?? are you guys going to score negative points? I mean, according to you, we aren't going to score for the better part of the next 2 years against you guys...
go eat cheese.
these are not predictions in the sense of forecasting a winner.
you say its funny... yet you come across as though you are mad as hell.
You are mis-reading our emotions.... I don't think anyone is "mad" about this thread that you started. It has more to do with the futility of a "projection" based solely on last year's winner of the matchup. It doesn't consider players that have left the team, players added to the team, injuries, current record, etc. or how the team is trending.
The question remains....why pay any attention to last year's results other than for historical significance???
