Reasons Why Illinois Didn't Show Up

I heard one of the wrestlers brought his Dad's old Atari console. The whole team ended up hooked on Pong.
Shame on the Illinois coaching staff for not bringing their best. If they really wanted to be there, they would have been there. Midlands is in their own backyard! ASU came and so did Rutgers! This is so pathetic of a self serving excuse. They have a very good team. Obviously they don't want to compete with the best rather "save" themselves for a duel meet. It's all BS gamesmanship by the coaches and the fans suffer. This only reenforces the stigma that the entire season really doesn't matter, only March cause the Illini wrestlers won't get their seeds penalized for skipping this (but they should)

#1 reason the Ill-annoy didn't show up - they didn't want to miss an episode of Dancing With the Stars. My cousin's former boyfriend's sister said that little gem. You know it is legit.

I guess I'm just frustrated over the lack of top representation at this years Midlands. I thought this one was going to be special and was looking forward to it for a while now. But than you get top tier guys dropping out like flies (Brewer, Jordan, Imar,) Why? Let's make this tourney matter! Guys not showing up just makes it seem like the middle of the season doesn't matter. Maybe you need throw in a end of season incentive to appear in these Tourneys. IDK. Just make it matter more.

Andre...Midlands was not on our schedule. It is on this year's Illinois schedule.
We did? Can you link a schedule that shows that we were to attend the tournament and didn't show? And an article that shows we decided not to go at the last minute? And totally conflicting reports as to the reason why?
