It’s not a secret that he’s not too big of a fan of the program or style. I don’t think there’s much mutual respect.
Ohh Goober how flattering that you wanna put your money where your mouth is. But being a gambler myself I know the odds are stacked against me when an athlete rescinds there commitment.

Gob, so you get everyone else & HJ gets Iowa. Doesn't seem too fair of a wager to me.
I don't have any inside information by any means, but I gotta think Sokol wearing Iowa garb at W#1, taking an official visit to Iowa, Kerk entering the transfer portal, being so high on Iowa to start, people close to the program stating M* is still hard after him, the new facility, being friends with PK & only being a junior all bode well for Iowa.
Predicting the recruiting game is a funny thing to me. The way I see it only the wrestler knows until he announces. In today's age with social media there typically isn't much of a lapse between them deciding and the world knowing. Until that point I get more of a chuckle out of all the predictions than anything. Don't get me wrong. I love the recruiting insight just as much as everyone else. It just seems some people do throw $hit against the wall to see what sticks to look like they have insider info. Not calling anyone in particular out, just pointing that out. I find the most humor in people assigning percentages to schools opportunities. I've never heard a kid calling a coach and saying, "Hey coach, you are 3rd in line for my services. I'd guess it's 30/70 right now." Meaning how does anyone possibly know that? Also, do coaches check in on their chances? I'd guess no. They continue to recruit until they are told no, or see a wrestler commit somewhere else. Unless they get a commit from a kid they had higher ranked, so they cease recruiting that wrestler.
Two weeks from today and we get to talk REAL Iowa wrestling. Can’t some soon enough with all of these threads

Also I have never seen anything with Mike Eierman not liking Iowa or TnT. Since it's not a big secret can you elaborate more or provide a link.

Man, this week just keeps getting better and better!
Glad to be getting all the recent commits and they are really great to have. However, I hope we are not spending a lot of scholarship money on them. We should be spending the scholarship money on Paddy, Eshemendia, Ayala, and Socol type kids. The current commits are terrific wrestlers on the rise, but this is what got us into trouble in the first place. To compete with PSU, tOSU, and OSU, we need to be getting the top 10 kid and not 2 or 3 top 40 kids to fight it out at each weight. Depth is great, but having NCAA champion type wrestlers win team championships.
Exactly and this is Tarps point and rightfuly so. You cant beat PSU by dividing up money for a Mark Hall between say 3 Mike Kelly's.Like Tarp said...this is exactly how we got into this rut.
I could be wrong but it seems like Sokols money has just been spread out over a few kids from 141-157 in the last few weeks. Im praying Reyna and Henson have another level because ten 7th place AA's wont catch PSU always having 4 finalists and 3 of them champs each year.
You guys that dont think Gobblin has some inside info are nuts!! He has more info than anybody on here! It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out he cant give out all his info for Obvious reasons. Taking a shots at a guy that is letting us know so much is pretty crazy.
Henson has beaten a college AA as a sophomore in h.s. and knocked off a few top named peers. Could see him top ten P4P in 2021. Many were “meh” on Sokol until this last freestyle season. Don’t know much about Reyna except what I saw at Super 32 which was pretty good. He has scrambling ability that you really can’t teach...he just needs to put together offense to go with it.
Rinse and repeat. There really is no point to give info. Everything is a loose prediction based on tidbits of information until a kid actually commits. This board can’t handle the fluidity of recruiting and would rather ridicule than accept that things change.
Agreed. There are a few other guys on here that have the scoop but don’t say it. Gobblin at least ballparks it for those on HR. Also a couple of non Iowa specific guys that are $$$ when it comes to other programs.
I appreciate any info Goblin or anyone else is willing to throw my way whether it is 100% fact or an educated guess. People who have a problem with it or can't deal can get stuffed.
