With the new commit that brings this class up to 17. Initially this was going to be a very small class but with a couple of surprise defections it should end up in the low 20s. So realistically I think we're looking at 4 more spots for 6 guys right now.

WR Oliver
DE Van Ginkel
DT Daniels
Ath Yeast
Ath Nelson
CB Maxwell

Anyone else on the radar right now? At this point I think Daniels has got to be priority #1 for the Iowa staff. If I remember correctly he is coming up with Eno and Bishop Dunne teammate Calloway.

Who do we get? Who ends up as an odd man out?

I think Oliver, AVG, Daniels, and Yeast eventually end up Hawkeyes.

Possibles...DT-Kendrick Green (no offer yet, visited Iowa last week).
Ol-Mason Neison-no offer, multiple visits to IC
RB/Ath-Soko-no offer...multiple visits to IC. Currently verballed to South Dakota.

The previously mentioned, Kendrick Green, is listed as an OL-Guard, in the Rivals database...Syracuse and UCF are recruiting him as a Guard/Center prospect, Iowa and Minny are recruiting him as a DT prospect.

It's reasonable to assume that we land 2 of the 6 targets and have a couple of scholarships for guys who blow up as seniors (or maybe even a grad transfer or two.) We will miss out on some we want, but every team does. Daniels is our most critical need IMO.

I'll be very pleased if we land 2 of 6. We have a very solid class so far and you have to believe we will finish strong.

Scott Nelson is really intriguing. 6'2' from Michigan. I think Iowa is recruiting him as a Safety. His video shows him with great vision, balls skills and a one cut and go running style.

He would be great because then Iowa Could have 3 Nelsons on the field at the same time.

Tri-Nelsons.
The Law firm of Nelson, Nelson and Nelson. Could call the defense "The FIRM"

I thought the rule was when you have 3 Nelson's on your team it is considered a "Full Nelson" and you can't recruit another one until one of them graduates or dies.

Full Nelson has already been used by commentators during one of the games.
