Trousil also broke his own record and state meet record in the 200 prelims at 21.4 (old 21.76). Saturday weather looks ripe for records to fall. And he's only a junior.

My takeaways from being at 3 great days of the state track meet for about the 20th time the last 25 years:

We need to offer Trousil now. Not sure for what position but like Norm use to say - get me fball players - we'll find the right seats on the bus later.
Wirfs has 3 year starter and playing on Sundays all over him. Feet, size, balance - wow. Bigger schools will be coming but glad we got him. For the record I saw Schreff (sp) at Drake his sr year and projected him for Sundays also.
Lots of upside on Beyer and Jacobus. Good frames for both and Beyer will be interesting if he stays at TE. Beyer has the frame for other spots.
We missed on Rima - not sure if we play UNI in the next 4-5 years (and I'm to lazy to look) but I see him having a David Johnson or Herring type of day vs us.

Here's another item of interest: Wirfs had the top discuss throw in Iowa, right? AJ Epenesa threw 205 earlier this year. Would have beaten Wirfs by 20 feet! Man, this is an exciting class...

Those 2 kids from Burlington ND ... just wow. I am getting the feeling that if WBND were in class 4A they would have won that meet, too. Incredible.
