Will the Refs call a fair consistent game on Sunday, I have a bad feeling the reffing will be worse than the game at UNI or MSU in the B10 tourny. I hope we can play well enough to overcome it.

Well it will be a mixture of guys who reffed the games in Brooklyn the first two rounds. You just never know, I mean look at WVU who was a #3 seed but couldn't use their physical play in the NCAA. The refs made sure they kept their hands off.
Regardless Iowa has to be aggressive, if they sit back and are "soft" they will get beat soundly. I realize that Nova is a tough team, but if the hawks sit back and are tentative they will get smoked.
Regardless I am assuming there will be a LARGE fan base for Nova there, so there might be some home court cooking. Iowa has to overcome it and be the tougher/more aggressive team.

News flash: zebras will make errors, always have, always will, just part of the game.

Hawkeyes are going to need to play tough defense, make shots and stay poised to final buzzer. Oh and also make Free Throws. Peter Jok should give Adam W a big Kiss for pulling him out of Goat status on Friday afternoon.

I want to complain ahead of time. There is an official who has screwed ISU numerous times this year, and has a particular tendency to do a job on Niang. He is in Denver. If you hear that Tom Eades has been assigned to this afternoon's game, put your money on Little Rock.

I'm OK with the reffing in the Michigan State game. MSU finally had the majority of their fouls called on them yesterday. They're just not used to that. For some reason, they get away with a ton of overly physical play in the Big 10.
Well that's been the struggle the last few games. Gesell gets two fouls by the 10 minute mark of the 1st half and then sits for the rest of the half. Then if Woodbury hasn't already collected his two, he'll soon follow, whether they're legitimate fouls or not.....
Also, when the refs "let them play", that favored Temple when we got ahead by 10, and helped them a bit in their comeback effort. Of course....that also ultimately allowed us to win at the end.
The officiating is weird in the NCAA because its usually guys from different parts of the country than we're used to seeing. Most teams are not nearly as physical as Big Ten teams. The officiating wasn't a factor in the Iowa/Temple game. Both teams played rough and tumble and the refs let 'em play. There's no reason to think it will be different tomorrow other than our lack of prestige.
