Refs cost us at least 4 points

Looked like a decent whistle to me. We've had some rip jobs over the years, this was not one of them. Refs are going to miss some calls both ways.

If Iowa had better post scoring and better 3pt shooting, it wouldn't have been an issue. Bowman struggled with the Wisconsin slow ball so good learning experience. He's looked a lot better vs the better competition. Sandfort needs to get his act together shooting wise.

The refs did a decent job except for the hook and hold. I thought replay showed pretty clearly that the wisconsin guy grabbed Connor's arm, extended it, and then flailed. Guys used to do a crapton of that to trick refs into cheap fouls, and even with slow motion video little Larry couldn't see it. Moron.

The officiating was awful all they around. I agree it wasn’t the difference in the game.

Iowa complaining about the refs after a loss. At home. Where they shot several more free throws than their opponent.

Never change Iowa fans, never change.

We should have gotten a technical for putting a swim team out on the court to play a basketball game. Not far from that for Wisky either. YMCA beer league level basketball played by both teams.

By and large a roster full of MAC talent is the problem.
This is the correct answer.

Iowa doesn’t have enough talent to overcome the loss of two key players. I was actually talking to a buddy last night who played under Dr. Tom and it was funny we both about the same time, after briefly discussing the Iowa State win, said under Fran Iowa is always 1-2 players away from being a second weekend NCAA tournament team.

Iowa will always be decent under Fran but will never be great. And it really boils down to getting a couple more players who are actually P5 talent via the transfer portal. That didn’t happen in the offseason, so the outcome will be more of the same.

We can’t shoot worth a shit. I figured Iowa would have some heavy legs. Long week for you guys.

Honestly Roy you aren't too far off. We have a lot of decent support players. With a couple guys out the talent and depth really shows

You can't trust JO or Mulvey...Sandfort can't hit shit....Kris and Ulis out... its a miracle it even got to OT. A nice effort by the Mac bros to keep it close. Just don't have the horses or depth

Don't hold your breath, doubt that will ever happen under Fran. Three star and a few 4 star players and player development is how Fran rolls. Expect 10 or more losses every year...Iowa will never via for a Big Ten title under Fran.

I think there were 7 or 8 times the commentators were puzzled by a soft foul call.

I’m not holding my breath. As I’ve said many times, Fran is a good coach, but he just can’t bring in enough talent to ever compete at the level most Iowa fans hope. It’s unfortunate, because overall he is a really good coach. The talent just isn’t there from top to bottom and you can’t be a top 25 team when your rotation is filled with 3-4 guys who should be on a mid-major roster.

My only complaint is that we were two starters short handed against your mediocre squad today. We’ll get one back in Madison in February when it matters more.

In the postgame radio interview, Bobby Hansen said to Fran that Iowa should have been at the FT line about 10 more times. Fran agreed.

I will take Bobby Hansen's word for the refereeing in this game.
Yes, but that’s true in every game. Iowa got away with fouls too.

I’m not defending the officiating, because it was characteristically bad.

Win is a win. Doesn’t matter when they come. Kris might make a difference but not Erin.
