Is that the B1G referee training course? That guy’s ready!
I had an official once call a foul on one of my players, came over to the scorers table to report the foul, said the player's number -- I told him it couldn't be that player as they were sitting next to me on the bench. He looked back on the court and picked out another number and reported that (of course that player was no where near the play). He then wanted to T me up for giving him a "hard time".
I'm more than willing to give HS refs (or, in this case, Jr High) a pretty sizable break. Depending on location, they're not making much money at all. Just get the basic rules right and be somewhat consistent and I'm happy.
CSB, I've watched a few Hawks games with a friend of mine who is a pretty well respected HS ref in the DSM area. He might be more irritated at some of the B1G reffing than I am. But for completely different reasons, which I find kind of funny.
