Okay, since I don't screwed up the last post I will try again. I apologize (and now I am an no longer calm either). I read the tweet wrong that someone posted on the Reggie Spearman tweet. I thought that Marc Morehouse has responded but a person named Tony was asking Marc about it. My mistake and again, I apologize.

Spearman got a little chubby this year. He needed to stay lean and mean if he was going to play linebacker. He seemed much slower his Sophomore season compared to his Freshman season.
IIRC, there were numerous posts regarding his lack of ability to cover backs on pass routes now he's a big loss. Also, he was suspended to begin the season for being arrested for drunk driving. It was reported there were additional consequences from the school code of conduct, but do not know what they were.
Curious, does anyone know for fact if he was asked or not to try DE and refused to change positions? The posts asking for him to be a DE came after the complaints and a beat writer suggesting the change. I do not recall any such comments about a position change from him or the coaching staff.
It always is too bad when a scholarship player leaves, however, I don't get all the angst now.

See, you fking loons say we're not supposed to get upset with your 'opinions'. This loon coming on and saying spearman got a little 'chubby' this year is not an OPINION! It is not subjective. It can be proven true or false!!! If hawkattack somehow saw Reggie naked recently, I'm not sure we want to know how! Initially it sounds like the kid just fell out of love with the game. Didn't he almost leave before the season due to a close friend being killed in Chicago? Kid might just need a break from everything football. Hopefully he stays in school somewhere instead of just going back home.
I was really excited about Spearman when he committed and still think he could be a good player, but it sounds like he didn't have the drive anymore. He is still very young.
Also someone mentioned his Twitter profile said Thanks for everything football. Is he just done playing altogether? I guess some guys find out sooner rather than later they don't want to do it anymore. i.e. Christian Ballard

Hoping he will stick it out and maybe RS his JR year, this kid should be preparing for his SR prom this spring not playing in his 3rd spring scrimmage.

Do you even know the forum 'rules'? I don't care if I get thrown off, but per the rules, the vast majority of posters should get thrown off.

No flaming: If a poster come onto the board with the intent only to flame, and continues to post nothing but flames or engages in no substantive discussion, the poster's posts will be deleted and the poster will be banned at the monitor's discretion.
No attacks on players or coaches. Criticism is allowed, and encouraged if the shoe fits. But that does NOT mean you have free range to bash or alienate a player or coach with your comments. If you disagree with how they played or the effort they put forward, please voice your opinion and state why you hold that opinion. If it's something you would not say to their faces, then don't post it.
No attacking recruits: Just because a player may choose another school does not give you the right to blast them, in any circumstance. There will be zero tolerance on this issue.
No posting of commercial offers, competing websites or spamming of the board will be permitted.: All threads will be deleted at the discretion of the board monitor.
No posting or or distribution any material that infringes and/or violates any right of a third party or any law. Post will be deleted and member can be banned at the monitors discretion. This means no posting of premium information from other web sites.
Do not give out your personal information on the message board or chat room. Please keep in mind that whenever you give out personal information (such as your email, phone number etc.) online --- for example, via message boards or chat --- that information can be collected and used by people you don't know. You give out your personal information at your own risk. We are not responsible for any actions that occur if you give out your personal information.
No fishing. Do not attempt to trick fellow posters into posting their email address by promising the inside scoop on a situation. These poor attempts at humor are very disruptive to the board.

Don't recall posting that it would take amazing talent to fill this hole, just that we have some great ones coming in according to Kilroy. We are basically stacked right now. And yes, you are correct on both points about Spearman, now just remember that he was the best option for about 4/5 of the season.
Was anybody all that impressed with Spearman to begin with? I mean, I realize that he was only like 15 years old, but he didn't seem all that great to me. On the other hand, if they guys behind him are even worse it is still, technically at least, a loss.
I guess the mention of Jewell to MLB, Bower to WLB and Neiman to be a starter at LEO had some real legs to it,

Cole Fischer is a backup and only upper classman we recruited left on depth chart. Not counting perry who was originally a walk on.
