At the end of the half? And how the offense would go into a shell with any kind of a lead? And remember how many of us used to complain and call for the Hawkeyes to be more aggressive with the offense? Well, after almost two decades, it apparently took KF's son becoming OC to finally get our wish. And the evidence would seem to say we were right all along, FWIW. No longer are the Hawkeyes predictable and boring. KF has learned that scoring lots of points is acceptable, and trying to get more--no matter how big the lead--right up to the last play of the game ain't a sin either. Hallelujah!

Ferentz is a classy coach especially compared to Dantonio, Meyer, Fleck, and even Franklin acts like a douche bag at times. I also think Brian has a lot of input on what the offense will and will not do.

It's only been 2 games so don't jump the gun. But Wisconsin might have been the straw. For a season and 4 games Brian bought into the "run to set up the pass" BS. You have to pass to set up the run. Brian obviously wants to be HC and knows that lackluster records and atrocious offense rankings won't get him there if Barta ever leaves.
Iowa is better than Wisconsin and played not to lose. KFs philosophy of winning games in the 4th quarter might be replaced with Brian's philosophy of winning games BEFORE the 4th quarter. Which is a MUCH BETTER PHILOSOPHY
Right now Iowa is 5-1 even with tying one hand behind it's back by limiting it's two most physically gifted players (AJ & NF) along with it's most punishing RB. If Brian can convince his dad to unleash those 3 guys he may indeed be worthy of being HC some day. He certainly seems to be on the right path. But he needs to stay on that path no matter how much his father wants him to revert to the uber-Boring offense of the previous 19 seasons.
