You're playing with the casino's money here.

A win and you're in.
A loss and you're headed to the Rose Bowl.

Running into a 9 man front is going to be tough.

Might want to dust off that shovel play.
And the jailbreak screen.
We're going to need a heavy dose of the lead draw.
Drop in an onside kick after the half.
Use Stanford's throwback to the TE.
And cap it off with a hook and ladder to seal the victory.

It's going to take determination and grit -- but don't forget -- it's entertainment in the end coach, and we won't fault you for taking risks against a very good MSU defense.

Yep. I hope the knee in Columbus is in the back of his head.

No reason to be cautious in this one.

Get into the playoffs and it's the kind of thing that can take your program to a new level. Lose this game and it's still been a great season but no one outside of Iowa fans will really take notice.

MSU is not going to use a 9 man front. They have maybe the best DL in the business. There is no shying away from it we need to man up and run a balance attack; if we cant we lose.

I will...if they're stupid ones.
Look if we're averaging 2 ypc, I want to see us attacking the edges, running draws and shovels and QB draws.

I think we know we need to run to win, and we're not going to out power them at the LOS. Going to have to manufacture yards creatively.

Going to need CJ to be sharp. They can be thrown against given the time to throw. Will be an interesting game. We need to shut down the run. Cook is going to get his but we can't let them move on the ground.

There really isn't a "new Kirk".If there is, I need some explanation about what new things we're doing.

Two things: Fake punt against Illinois State, and throwing head gear instead of spitting out gum against Nebraska.

Ah, I didn't notice these as I watched our offensive and defensive schemes. We have pulled guards a tad bit more this year also. With respect to the fake punt, it isn't uncommon for KF to use trick plays in early season games. I suspect to give opposing coaches one additional thing to prepare for.

Just play to win, I hate feeling like we are holding on for dear life for the last 10 minutes of the game. Be smart but don't shut down the offense if we go up by 10
