Republicans don't wear masks and don't plan to take the vaccine. Including Donald Trump. #MAGA

I'm thinking they say that but then get the vaccine. Current day GOP is the land of hypocrisy. But, I hope they don't... sooner I can get it.

To be fair 26% of Republicans saying they won't get the vaccine is a minority.

"The poll found that almost twice as many Democrats, or 49 percent, expressed willingness to take the vaccine as soon as it’s available, compared with 28 percent of Republicans and 42 percent of independents."

Cowards.

The vast majority, 70% of blacks - who vote 94% Democrat, " if you don't vote D, you ain't black, will not vaccinate...

Man, you must really hate black people. 70% of them compared to 30% of Republicans won't get one. That's like TWELVE TIMES more than the number of Dems. Your dislike and distrust of minorities is noted.

Yes because that was totally my point

Where are you getting your data? This graphic from and Ipsos poll indicates 29% of African-Americans say the won't get the vaccine at all. Similar to those with just a high school education or those affiliated with the Republican party.

The fact that so many people will refuse to get the Covid-19 vaccine is proof that Darwin was right. We are quickly becoming a species that is too stupid to survive.

Pew Research Center and NAACP as posted on LA Times article above. Sorry.

Indeed, across the U.S., only 32% of Black adults say they would definitely or probably take a COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Pew Research Center. Another study by the COVID Collaborative and the NAACP found that most Black people don’t believe a vaccine will be safe or effective, and don’t plan to get it.

Link? The article linked is behind a paywall and what I see on the Pew site does not align with your numbers.

I used the link to the LA Times above and posted the blurb it mentioned about the two polls. I guess you’ll just have to use that excuse to continue your denial of reality and assume the LA Times is wrong in citing its data from Pew and the NAACP. Or maybe you believe that Pew and NAACP are lying. Whatever it takes.

I asked because I couldn't see the LA Times link. Linked below is from the Pew Research site which shows Blacks are up to 42% saying they would "definitely" or "probably" get the vaccine. This is as of 12/3/2020. It does not indicate the number saying they would definitely not get the vaccine.

If you have anything to support your statement feel free to link it.

At this point, you are arguing just to argue. The facts are not on your side. The GOP is a joke and the Trump Administration has hurt a lot of people with Donald's narcissism and cruelty.

Wait Democrats believe in the vaccine now? Just two months ago the VP elect was saying she didn't trust it. Basically virtue signaling to anit-vaxxers. Weird how the position has changed since Trump was defeated.

I found the article. It doesn't say 70% of Black people won't get the vaccine. It says "Indeed, across the U.S., only 32% of Black adults say they would definitely or probably take a COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Pew Research Center." Those are two different things. And, as shown, that figure of 32% is outdated and has risen to 42% - the trend is in the right direction.

I didn't and wouldn't trust it based on the pressure Trump was placing on organizations to bring it out by the election. They clearly ignored him and went about the science. It's not really hard to understand.

They said that they'd take the vaccine once the science was sound, not on the advice of a mentally impaired Donald Trump - who won't even take the vaccine that he's bragging about.

Yeah , whatever happened to Governor Kill’mo’s ‘independent review’ on vaccine safety?

What is my side? Honesty? It damned sure isn’t the GOP or Trump. Just admit you think blacks are dumb too.

Quit with that nonsense. Blacks have good reason to be skeptical. Republicans don't.

Oh...so socioeconomics aren’t a factor? Just color or political party. Poor whites have no excuse but all blacks do. Brilliant! And you’re the guy always asking for links and proof. Good grief.

This line of thinking falls right in line with “GOP rallies are major drivers of COVID” but “BLM rallies were perfectly fine!” Science! Must be nice.

Well, your ignorance gets exposed again. Feel free to link similar examples happening to republicans.

The Black community's distrust of the vaccine and the nation's medical establishment is rooted in a long record of mistreatment. The late 1900s were defined by medical breakthroughs in the nation's scientific community, but many of these experiments and discoveries were made at "the expense of Black people's human dignity," said Dr. Reed Tuckson, co-founder of the Black Coalition Against COVID-19. "There is a history of insults that have occurred in health care for people of color."

In 1951, Henrietta Lacks, a woman suffering from cervical cancer, went to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment. When doctors took samples of her cancer cells, they discovered that her cells doubled at a rapid rate unseen before, making them ideal for cancer research. Since 1951, these "HeLa" cells, named after the first two letters in her first and last name, have been used to make advances in biomedical research.

But Lacks' cells were used without her knowledge or consent and her family failed to receive any funds from the companies that used the "HeLa" cells to make medical discoveries.

Another infamous example: the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment, a 1931 study conducted by the Public Health Service and Tuskegee Institute that examined the progression of syphilis in Black men.

In 1972, an Associated Press report revealed the hundreds of men participating were misled about the experiment and went untreated — even penicillin was withheld when it became the standard treatment for the disease in 1947. The men and their families were later granted a $10 million settlement and health benefits for their descendants from the federal government but the incident remains on the forefront of the Black community's mind.
