In 1980, the younger Koch was nominated as the vice presidential nominee for the Libertarian Party. His running mate at the time was Ed Clark and their campaign ran on abolishing Social Security, the Federal Reserve board, welfare, corporate taxes and minimum wage laws.

How in the world did they not win?

So Trump will brag this is "karma" for Koch opposing his tariffs?

Ernst probably checking her campaign acct to make sure that last check cleared.

This is from Paul Campos at the Lawyer's Guns and money blog and I have to agree:

"this multi-multi billionaire who so selflessly tried to destroy America and the planet when he could have so easily spent his life on more trivial pursuits."

While reading about David's death I learned his brother Frederick went to Harvard and Yale. Likes writing plays, supports the arts and literacy, and philanthropy within those areas.

What a nice leisurely way to live life as a billionaire as opposed to David...

This likely means a lot of money is getting ready to end up in the hands of an amatuer - or a few of them.

He left the country worse than it was when he first started to have power to make change.

Well, they say things come in threes. In terms of big GOP donors biting the dust...Chris Cline, Mr. Koch, and maybe the next one... Sheldon Adelson, I'm looking at you?

I guess it can only be hoped that he recognized how he negatively impacted the environment, and helped to facilitate climate change that will affect his kids/grandkids/future generations. I hope he understood the pollution and toxins that spewed from his plants killing tens of thousands prematurely.
I have a laugh that he was upset at Donald Trump, when it was the money that he and his brother pumped into conservative causes that produced a lifetime Democrat/grifter as the chosen one of the GOP.

Karma likes balance. Put me down for Soros in the death pool.

Donated over 25 million to the United Negro College Fund...

I don't mean to downplay his donation, but I thought about the math for a second. Dude was worth more than $40 billion. He gave $25 million. This is the equivalent of someone with a million dollars giving about $600. His donation was incredibly significant, but thinking of the kind of wealth he had is mind blowing. But like the saying goes, you can't take it with you.

$25 million is pocket change compared to the money he spent buying politicians in order to affect laws and regulations in order to keep his refineries and petro chemical plants unburdened, thereby spewing toxins into mostly poor and minority communities.
