2002 was a magical year. With the perhaps premature hopes for a Rose Bowl berth this year, we should recall that we could have been there in 2003. The Orange Bowl had first choice and smartly chose Iowa to play USC with the two Heisman candidates (Banks and Palmer). Otherwise, we would have been in the Rose Bowl. We most certainly lost, but what fun it was.
