The last few years since Lebron left, the Cavs’ genius front office decided to draft or acquire the best available talent regardless of position, a strategy described as exactly that by the front office/coach. Most recently they acquired Caris Lavert. Their game rotations also seem to parallel their talent-focused, or hot hand-focused strategy. In other words, it’s more bottom up: you play on our team and you get to play the better you do in any game or in general. So it’s fluid and responsive rather than rigid. Lets the best players play, and “best” is both general and situational.

It’s turned one of the worst teams in the league into a legit title contender.

If Fran starts and lets his most talented players get the most minutes, plus riding the hot hands, will Iowa be more like the Cavs?

Did last night’s blowout show any strategy changes for Fran?

Cavs are the surprise team in the East.
Have not seen them play so not sure how they are pulling this off besides the rookie center Mobley.
