And our standards are the same as Rutgers now..Same shit different day
Who won? The effort of their 170 against PSU under sized back up was pathetic, didn’t look like he even tried to get out of that stall leg ride. Also their top 10 heavyweight looked pathetic against a guy who was 50 lbs lighter1/10. Not even a decent try.

WTF are you even talking about? Rutgers has been shit at everything, except that one year of football under Schiano, in the 40 years I've been alive. It was a 1/10 troll job, at best. But you knew that already....Who won? The effort of their 170 against PSU under sized back up was pathetic, didn’t look like he even tried to get out of that stall leg ride. General shittiness doesn’t change that the backup 165 at psu beat a ranked 174 lb Rutgers wrestler while what looks like a 197 backup beat a top ten Rutgers heavyweight.WTF are you even talking about? Not surprised - guy seemed to be at so many events this off season.Shawver beat Nagao in SV
They should have won or at least been competitive in the 2 matches i pointed out.WTF are you even talking about? Rutgers has been shit at everything, except that one year of football under Schiano, in the 40 years I've been alive. It was a 1/10 troll job, at best. But you knew that already....
You're right. Rutgers wrestling is synonymous with "dominance" and "success". give me a break LMAO. Those results don't surprise me in the least.General shittiness doesn’t change that the backup 165 at psu beat a ranked 174 lb Rutgers wrestler while what looks like a 197 backup beat a top ten Rutgers heavyweight.
Maybe they should have, but they didn't and you seem to be surprised by this. Considering their history and PSU's roster, I'm puzzled as to why. They should have won or at least been competitive in the 2 matches i pointed out.
Mine aren't, but I don't know about you.And our standards are the same as Rutgers now..
It was sarcasm aimed at the OP.Mine aren't, but I don't know about you.
If they are ranked, the people who do the ranking don’t base it on the school they wrestle for. If a ranked wrestler, especially top 10, looses to an undersized back up from another team, it should be considered an upset. Not arguing that Rutgers wrestling is in good shape as a team.Maybe they should have, but they didn't and you seem to be surprised by this. Considering their history and PSU's roster, I'm puzzled as to why.
you might be my new favorite poster... You connected at all to the team??It was sarcasm aimed at the OP.
Knew that, but I still didn't know about you.It was sarcasm aimed at the OP.
Ha. I appreciate it. Only in that I’m an alumni of the team.you might be my new favorite poster... You connected at all to the team??
Read my reasoning behind WHY I believe Iowa needs a head coaching change and you’ll be able to answer your own question.Knew that, but I still didn't know about you.
Do you realize barraclough lost to Griffith 2-1? If he was PSU’s starter at 174 he’d probably all American. And again he was wrestling up a class. You're right. Rutgers wrestling is synonymous with "dominance" and "success". give me a break LMAO. Those results don't surprise me in the least.
Again Barraclough is very good as for the heavyweight? He was ranked 8. And was beaten by a backup 197.They should have won or at least been competitive in the 2 matches i pointed out.
Barraclough is really a 157 lber that could make 149 if needed. He weighed in at 160.2 lbs for the match.Again Barraclough is very good as for the heavyweight? He was ranked 8. And was beaten by a backup 197.
Exactly.Barraclough is really a 157 lber that could make 149 if needed. He weighed in at 160.2 lbs for the match.
I'm not sure about 149. It's my understanding that he cut to 160.2 to stay within range of 157 in case Levi goes down, not that he walks around at 160 full feed. Definitely seems like a natural 157 though.Barraclough is really a 157 lber that could make 149 if needed. He weighed in at 160.2 lbs for the match.
A box of rocks is still smarter than you,Same shit different day

Do you guys understand I'm arguing in FAVOR of Penn State's depth? That a couple backups for PSU beating ranked Rutgers guys isn't surprising to me?Barraclough is really a 157 lber that could make 149 if needed. He weighed in at 160.2 lbs for the match.
Barraclough is wasting his time at PSU if he is that good, because they are loaded with blue chip middleweights for. Years to comeDo you guys understand I'm arguing in FAVOR of Penn State's depth? That a couple backups for PSU beating ranked Rutgers guys isn't surprising to me?
I get that, but it’s more Psu very good than Rutgers bad at those weights.Do you guys understand I'm arguing in FAVOR of Penn State's depth? That a couple backups for PSU beating ranked Rutgers guys isn't surprising to me?
It doesn't look like he wasted ANY time at PSU. The last couple of years he was a tough wrestler who wrestled to the level of a borderline NQ. Now he's beating AAs and giving a good account of himself when wrestling SR level national freestyle events.Barraclough is wasting his time at PSU if he is that good, because they are loaded with blue chip middleweights for. Years to come
And that’s why they do it. So many people talk about the new coach. They should get for Iowa, they tossed out a lot of names like David Taylor or Kyle Dick. But maybe the next great coach is going to come from Sanderson system it’s going to be a guy like Barraclough? It doesn't look like he wasted ANY time at PSU. The last couple of years he was a tough wrestler who wrestled to the level of a borderline NQ. When he graduates he'll have earned his degree and been a part of three national championship teams. And he'll be able to grad transfer and probably earned himself some NIL money if he wants to go that route.
For a kid that wasn't recruited by anyone, that doesn't sound like wasting time at all in that room.
I know you meant in terms of wrestling, but he is a senior biomedical engineering major and has been Academic All-Big Ten (2021, 2022, 2023) as well as the Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2023). He is getting exactly what he wants out of college. Now, upon graduation, maybe he finds a grad program and wrestles one more year. Or he goes on to the next phase of his lifeBarraclough is wasting his time at PSU if he is that good, because they are loaded with blue chip middleweights for. Years to come
So does he have a Covid year after this year??I know you meant in terms of wrestling, but he is a senior biomedical engineering major and has been Academic All-Big Ten (2021, 2022, 2023) as well as the Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2023). Gee, who else was pretty descent from Utah. What’s been lost here is that both Barraclough and Cochran are from Utah…
he has 1 more year of eligibility. So does he have a Covid year after this year??
Friend.I get that, but it’s more Psu very good than Rutgers bad at those weights.
