RW propaganda machine claiming congressman said we should hang Trump

Well as a followup I have to say unfortunately we probably can’t hang him. It’s on the books for treason but it’s only been applied once. However that one time was just for tearing an American flag off a federal building in New Orleans during the Civil War so.....maybe?

John Brown, although technically that might have been treason against a state rather than against the whole bunch of them.

I would have thought of the Rosenbergs -- although they were electrocuted rather than hanged -- but I checked and they were convicted of espionage.

In Iowa you only get 16 years for that now. Progress!

He could be banished to a small desolate island and never receive info about his former country again

Like he'd care. Trump doesn't give 10-15 flushes about America. Now banishing him to a small desolate island and banning him from Twitter?

He didn't say that, but I put the o/u at 3 hours before some poster new in the last 2 weeks posts about it

I will say one time, in fairness, that if Trump tweeted that about Clyburn, he wouldn't be given one inch of leeway in terms of "hang him" just being a throwaway phrase. It was a really poor choice of words, even though I know what he meant.

That said, I'm going back to NeverTrump land here.
