Don’t know what position he will end up at Iowa, but he would be one helluva punt returner!

He is the most curious piece of this 18' class IMO.

Too slow for RB
Too small LB
Not a QB
Not a WR
Not a TE

Coaches must like him so I guess we will see what happens.

Side note if too harsh...kid is definitely a football player and a winner.

FYI
He isn't too slow for RB

I see him as a safety or blowing up his body and becoming a LB . Reminds me so much of jack hockaday the Illinois kid currently on the roster. I really remember his film looking almost identical as this kids. They could be clones from the what I remember

He ran a laser times 4.65 and had one of the best shuttle times at the opening regional in Chicago last summer. Had a really good overall athletic score. I think maybe top 10 at the regional which tests, shuttle time, 40 time, power ball and vert. 56th overall score nationwide.

Idk I could be wrong but kinda reminds me of all the highlights of Tebow back in his HS days running dudes over on those long TD runs....not saying he is the same caliber but impressive nonetheless

That's weird. Multiple people, including Blair, said he was starting at RB. Interesting.

If you read KF presser from yesterday, Kirk says he wasnt sure how they listed him. Originally recruited as WR but recently talked about him playing RB. Kirk compared him to Ed Hinkel in that they will get him into camp and find out where he fits best for the team. PR would seem a good option regardless of position.

247 site lists:

40 time - 4.65
vertical - 35.5

If RB: depends on vision and running down hill scheme fit etc
If WR: I would think with those measurables it will depend on his hands/catching ability.

Sometimes, you just have to go with your gut and IMHO the coaches think he has that “it” factor that is hard to define.

It isn’t just raw athleticism, or Larry Bird wouldn’t be one of the greatest b-ball players of all-time.

I suspect he is so good with the ball in his hands because he just may have superior vision. (Hard to quantify) He also may have the ability to set up defenders where they will get blocked. Maybe, like a great point guard, he sees the field 2 steps ahead of everyone else. I am very intrigued, just because he is such a winner and I am very much hoping those open field skills translate to an excellent PR and KR. ( at the very least)
