Connor will have a diminished role if Iowa is unable to secure a big man transfer. He doesn’t fit well on a team without a true post player.

Ankeny’s tallest player that saw the court last year was 6’3”. They won state.
My projection was for the year 22/23 not next year so Connor will have been graduated.
I agree on this for next year, but as I mentioned in the original post it was a fun look at the future, two years out. Not next year. Even with the free year this year, I highly doubt CMac is back two years from now.
He could because of this year, but he'd be a 6th year Sr in 22-23. Of course, Nunge would be a 6th year Jr that year, so...
While I doubt he will, Connor could, technically, play in 22-23.

He’s playing less minutes this year than he did last year. I can see that trend continuing with the loss of Garza and the further development of the young guards.
Also, if Connor has any desire to see where his baseball carer takes him, at some point he may have some decisions to make, but you can never get a year back playing college basketball being coached by your dad and playing with your brother. That is a pretty special scenario to consider for him as well.
This is my thought as well when I have seen him. Longer than people think but probably a little more stiff athletically than Weezy imo. Dude can flat out shoot it with range though from anywhere.
His shot's a bit quicker than Wieskamp's, as well. He's really quite a good passer, too.

I suspect some of you never saw Kyle Korver in college. Much different player than you have seen the last 10 years in the pros.
He was nearly a triple double guy. Points, rebounds and assists. Because of his size the points and rebounds made sense, but the guy could really pass. Eyes in the back of his head.

Don't remember the classes - 1964. But it was the highest class (Muscatine) and we played Dbq. Walert, Clinton, Burlington, I think Assumption, so not shabby. And lost to Rock Island Alleman by 2 on their court for last game and they ended up 4th in Illinois.

Kyle certainly had a very solid all-around career at Creighton. His senior year he averaged 17.8 ppg, 6.4 reb, 3.1 asst. Nothing to sneeze at.
I will agree with you that if Sandfort comes close to those kinds of numbers, we will all be singing his praises.
I don't recall much of Korver in college so i would not make the comparison but i did look up his stats and they don't really square with what you are saying. Korver never averaged more than 6.5 rebs or 3.5 assists in a season.. those are fine numbers but hardly even close to being triple double figures i doubt he ever sniffed anywhere close to 10 assists. He also took about 70% of his attempts as 3s in college which is actually a higher share of his attempts compared to his NBA career.

You are correct. All things considered, if Sandfort comes even close to Korver’s less than triple-double stats he’ll have a fine career.
You can't really justify it right now but that's Fran's call. Don't see why next year would be any different especially with Luka and possibly JW leaving. CMac will be starting next year alongside C.J. and I assume Nunge at the 5 and Keegan at the 4 if JW stays. If JW leaves then I assume we'll see JT at the point and CMac doing what he does today. SB interesting.

After that it's possible the new NBA deal will allow to draft directly from HS and that's more the talk than what college he goes to.
Hopefully he isn't getting significant minutes because he isn't very good. The advanced metrics point to him being apart of our worst lineups. That information is for those on here who know so little about basketball that they can't see how he is the weak link in the top 8. It's obvious to those who have a smidgen of bball iq. He would not get minutes on any other team in the conference.
The metrics show he doesn't fit well with the national player of the year either. We just have enough studs around him to offset his lack of game.
I thought CMAC was supposed to be a MLB player by now per past HR posters. I assume he will be back next year and he will play 30 minutes/game and start. He is exactly the type of PG Fran likes.
