Does the gal have juice? She endorsed Ernst last round. With the Branstad news, this is a bad day for Cruz fans.

Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, will endorse Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, officials with his campaign confirmed. The endorsement provides Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state’s caucuses.

“I’m proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for president,” Ms. Palin said in a statement provided by his campaign.

Her support is the highest-profile backing for a Republican contender so far.

“I am greatly honored to receive Sarah’s endorsement,” Mr. Trump said in a statement trumpeting Mrs. Palin’s decision. “She is a friend, and a high-quality person whom I have great respect for. I am proud to have her support.”

In Iowa, where Ms. Palin spent years developing support, the endorsement could be especially helpful.

Watching Palin and Trump, perhaps the two "politicians" I have the least respect for, stroke each other like that... it makes me rather nauseous. I bet they had crazy, ugly sex afterward and (BARF).

There are rules in place for a reason, people...

She's probably hoping to get another shot at VP. Trump/Palin as the GOP ticket. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I can almost imagine the massive meltdown from the HROT lefties if Trump actually won the white house, it would be of epic proportions. I may vote for him just to see it.

It'd be almost as funny as the meltdown from his supporters when he got in office and started governing and they realized he isn't actually a conservative.

I wouldn't have a melt down. I would be curious what he would actually do though. The pandering and demagoguery would probably stop on day one.

If he were to implement his liberal trade policy, I could forgive a lot. Frankly most every issue on our plate gets better if we simply value our market and act like the alpha we are. Bring those jobs home by taxing foreign made products. I might vote for him myself that's such a big deal.

Come on, dude. It'll make what happened after "W" got elected look like a hippy peace circle. The dems sure know how to have an epic meltdown.

Have you forgotten how the right has reacted when Clinton and Obama got elected? It was VERY ugly. Dubya's first election was a case where the precision of our tabulating methods was not high enough to accurately identify the winner, so we had a drawn out series of court cases which caused both sides to meltdown.

I can't imagine anybody accusing those on the left of being more prone to meltdowns.

Or perhaps the pro-choice, universal health care supporting, progressive taxing, and drug legalizing Trump comes out.

Who knows.

It absolutely was, but it's not going to be anything like this.

Edit: And neither of those two we as bad as when "W" was elected and the whole fiasco with crybaby Gore. Still, I think this will be worse.

Your bias clouds your memory.

Really? Remember back, dude. Movies were written about it. It might have been the most epic U.S. political meltdown of all time. Gore wouldn't concede, they kept counting again and again and again. The screaming from the Democrats. Al Gore has never lived that down. Maybe you think the Obama election was worse because it was more recent, or maybe you aren't old enough to really remember that 2000 election. It was madness.

Sarah Palin endorsing him just dropped the chances of me voting for him. Of course, there no chance I was going to vote for him anyway, so I guess it didn't.

That's good, because that's probably a terrible reason not to vote for someone.
Well, there are all kinds of good reasons to not vote for Trump, Palin's endorsement is kind of the sprinkles on the frosting on the cake.

She just called Iowans "the hands that rock the craddle". Then I remembered why I like her. Then she went on to say illegals keep labor prices down and help the capitalists. That got me nodding until she claimed the capitalists were democrats which made me love her again. Please Trump, make her your VP and I'll caucus for you.
