Schnucks was thinking of taking on HyVee in Iowa and had even bought a parcel on the West side on Kimberly, but never built it.

That said, this would be a good location for a Trader Joes.

Schnucks is not a big outfit. They were a
St. Louis based super market for many years.
Their expansion into Illinois has been steady,
but almost too late in some cities.

Kroger is still strong in the Midwest, while
HyVee and Schnucks try to become major
players.
