Science proves Roe v. Wade wrong. Humanity doesn't start at 20 weeks.

We have pointless discussions on this board all the time, but abortion discussions are the most pointless of all. There’s absolutely zero chance that anyone’s mind will change. Almost like M1 vs M2.

So much this. But I’m sure it makes everyone feel good about their stance. It can be the only reason why people on here and elsewhere spend so much time on it. No one is changing their minds.

So you are saying we should just bury our heads in the sand and not have discussions?

I just read an article about this today. Most Americans don't have well formed opinions about abortion. The vast majority don't have deep opinions on exactly when they should or shouldn't happen. It's more of a general approval or disapproval. So opinions actually are pretty malleable.

And a large reason why is because it is not something people to discuss much. I can say that this is definitely true in my personal life. Absent HROT, I would never discuss abortion at all. It's not exactly a subject that most people are willing to talk about in depth in real life.

You have to do something with an embryo, too. Leave it in the mother for an absolute minimum of 21 weeks. Any less and it dies.

And once again, not one organ is functional in that 6 week old embryo. Nothing on it works. Not the heart, not the brain, not the spinal cord, not the eyes, ears, circulatory system, digestive system, immune system, skeletal, muscular, nervous, or any other system or organ. None of it is functional. There is not one person on planet earth who has had every system and organ non functional and yet still lived.
It does have a tail at 6 weeks though.

Odd, I’ve talked about it numerous times outside of HROT. Maybe the gays just don’t talk about it because it’s not relevant…NTTAWWT.

I'm glad we are able to have this conversation again. I think we will finally resolve it this time.

I think if we're going to start "banning" abortion after so many weeks because "life" has been achieved then we should allow mothers to:

1. Take out life insurance on the unborn.
2. Claim the unborn as a dependent for tax and social services eligibility.
3. Issue a SSN# for the fetus and get them in the system since the government recognizes them.

I mean if its a viable life then why aren't we doing this already??

Your ejaculate does not have a brain nor is any of it's genetic code distinct from you.
So you clearly think that it should be illegal to take someone off of life support under any and all circumstances? People who still have a brain and a distinct genetic code with lot more human bodily functions than these fetuses are "murdered" by their families all the time. If we are doing the all life is precious thing let's at least be consistent

In what circles do you bring up abortion, outside HROT?

Family. Friends. It usually starts as a pro-choice vs. pro life conversation and therefore abortion inevitably gets discussed. I know it’s very midwestern to not talk about difficult subjects but that’s not our usual M.O.

Wow. I can honestly say it's never come up in conversation in any of my social circles.

Texas is outlawing abortion at 7 weeks. Show me one case in the history of science that says we anywhere close to having a viable human at that point?

And lets be honest, whether it's 7 weeks or 20 weeks, Rs aren't opposing Roe on scientific merit. It is pure virtue signaling political merit.
So it doesn't matter to you that the 7 week thing can turn into life 13 weeks later. Got it.

My jizz can get turned into a baby in 21 weeks. Doesn't mean I'm killing millions everytime I look at Goldmom's profile.
