Amazon launching one-hour booze delivery in Seattle

The e-commerce giant launches Prime Now in its hometown of Seattle, adding booze for the first time to the selection of eligible products.

Running out of beer or wine for that barbecue you are hosting? If you are in Seattle, and are a member of Amazon.com’s Prime program, you are in luck.

Starting Tuesday, Prime members in Amazon’s hometown of Seattle can get one- and two-hour delivery of beer, wine and hard liquor like whiskey, rum, and vodka with the launch of Prime Now there, making Seattle the first U.S. city to include alcohol in the assortment of products eligible for the quick-delivery service.

It's easy to think that when you don't live amongst the Aspergery software dorks and the business sociopaths who have those dorks yoked up to Amazon's wagon. But, hey, at least we don't have to drive (or -gasp!- walk) to the store to get a sixer and some dog food.

Stefan will back me up on this.

This is kind of sour grapes since they aren't doing that here, but I already have a great neighborhood liquor store that delivers in about 30-45 minutes.

Based on the variety and demeanor (and likely lack of drug testing) of their employees, I'm also confident that they don't treat them like slaves.

Top that, Amazon..

Nothing tastes better than dog food while getting shitcanned.
