I don't think there is anyone who thinks that the wars in Ukraine and in the Middle East have no possibility of leading to WWIII. Actually, that's a big part of the reason why it is important to have not-crazy people in charge..

Russia is low on soldiers and people there are tired of the war. They have always used soldiers from places with the word Stan in them. Using N Koreans just tells me they are getting desperate.
Any time we have a military conflict people say it could lead to World War 3.
To be fair they arn't necessarily wrong. That doesn't mean they are right either.
Lets also be real. World War 2 had to be fought. World War 1 probably didn't, but there wasn't any getting out of World War 2.

WW3 won't be occurring until American troops are actively and directly fighting against Russian, Chinese or North Korean troops.
WW2 was just a continuation of WW1 in some regards...it at least set the stage for it.
WW1 set the stage for it in some ways although I'm not sure that Hitler or someone like him doesn't take power without WW1.
The punitive Versaille Treaty and the "stabbed in the back" lie perpetrated by Ludendorff basically set the stage for Adolf.
Ludendorff is one of the more despicable characters in history. He's the dude that wheepingly told the Kaiser all was lost on the western front and he needed to abdicate and they needed to come to terms with the allies.
Turns around and perpetrates the myth that the "undefeated" German army was stabbed in the back by the socialists and jew politicians.
Needs to be on the worst humans in history top ten list.
