Seeds at Nat’s?

6/7 is where I expect Barr to be...I expect him to be SB's quarter draw. AJ in the semis, Cardenas in the finals as the #1.
This would be bloody criminal!!! NOT so much worried about FUbar , but AJ could be a problem!!!

Lowering coaches rankings while raising conference finish is a killer for the B1G. There simply isn't a conference nearly as competitive as the B1G and there are plenty of times where 5th or 6th place would walk to a conference title in another conference. That is where the rankings used to help offset that. Now, you are really punishing guys for being in the toughest conference there is...
They will let it ride for a bit to see how it plays out. If they start seeing guys seeded in the top 4 lose to highly ranked but lower seeded guys from the B1G lose at a decent enough clip, they will adjust things around.

It doesn’t make sense to have the higher seeded guys with tougher paths to the finals than lower seeded guys…but they will have to prove that out before making any changes. I’m assuming that the change was made due in large part to the overall strength of the B1G in wrestling…a guy finishing 5th in B1G’s being seeded higher than a guy that wins his conference feels wrong on the surface. Maybe it ends up not mattering at all. We shall find out.

I just started doing some recalculations on some of the seeds. PK could potentially fall hard (from 7/8 to 11/12 post conference tourneys).

In two cases, the difference was quite literally due to shifting percentages down on ranking and up on conference tourney placement.

In two other cases it comes down to losing to Lenny Fvcking Pinto. Using the seeding formula he was up by 5 or tied with a handful of guys and it came down to common opponents. The loss against Pinto was the difference between the comparison for seeding.

There are a ton of variables that came into play. If Takats, Incontrera, or Norman wins an auto bid it shifts some of the winning percentages and RPI’s up. It also changes placements of folks. Based on those guys losing, it bumped up some guys that are in turn bumping PK down. Very weird deal.

I’m almost afraid to look at 184 based on what I saw at 174.

Pac12 is so ridiculous. 4 teams and doubt that one of them are in the top 20.
