Man...it’s like watching a play. Seriously. It’s also very noticeable that they tried to make George exactly like Larry David. His hair is all standing up like his was in the 80s and early 90s. A lot less studio laughing but that’s because they aren’t sure what they’re watching yet. It was always good.

And Chandler and Nick Offerman suck!

George seemed different in Season 1. He was more confident and resourceful, at least compared to the angsty manchild he became in later seasons.

Kramer was a better character in the early seasons before he became this over-the-top maniac who felt like every episode he had to top the previous week. He was very laid-back and sort of similar to Jim Ignatowski.

“It’s been a week. It’s up to the cat now.”

I noticed the same thing with the Friends cast...they played way too much into their character's oddities as the show went on.

The episode Larry and Jerry point to as the most impactful on the future of the show was the “Junior Mint”. That was the most “out there” premise to that point and after it they realized that they can do whatever the hell they want and be a crazy as needed because they got away with it.
