semi-OT: Prime at Nebby - who you got and why

So odd to see a Husker QB with no intention of taking off. Even with Haarberg in the wildcat, Raiola split wide and just stood still. It looks like Rhule has seen what it take to survive the B1G.
I think he'll be good one. I still have more faith in our defense this year however.

Nebraska's defense was improved greatly last year, certainly good enough to win games, It should be better in year 2 of the new system. The offense was really bad, the lowest points per game since 1968. But even with that, if they stop turnovers they win games.

I absolutely believe this year is a possible resurgence for Nebby but I've said that in the past. The defense is better but UTEP isn't a shining example of what will transpire. Just like Illinois St. isn't for us. I want you guys to be good though because I want Iowa to beat you while you guys are good. I haven't felt Nebby was truly good for about a decade. Up to them to show us. I want this rivalry to mean more nationally.

I think you guys take care of business this time around vs. Colorado.

Honestly, Nebraska is my true rival and one that I actively enjoy being a part of. I have nothing against them and recognize their former glory. I do struggle with people that live in denial currently but mostly, my banter with Nebraska fans is fine. ISU is a relatively distant second and they're only there because I can't stand many of their fans for, again, delusional thoughts about their current program.

I think Nebraska beats Colorado in all honesty. I think their coach is the best they've had in a long while. However, currently, they're only one injury away from having a terrible season. Better keep Raiola healthy.

Can say that about 80% of the teams in the B1G…including us.

I'm ready to take it 1 step at a time. Get us to a bowl game, beat Colorado and of course Iowa. ;)
If we beat Colorado, I think we'll be bowl eligible before we go to Ohio State in game 8. That will be huge.

I went back and rewatched the game when Raiola was in, he was knocked down 1 time, his only sack, and ran out of the pocket one other while he threw the ball away. The game plan is to keep him safe.

We'll see what better defenses can do.

I really can’t stand “Prime” and used to live in Omaha, watching co-workers suffer through Callahan, so want Nebs to win an ugly 9 - 6, 4 overtime game. But seriously Nebraska worries me the most this year, of all the teams on the schedule. They should win this easily because of “Prime” lameness and laughable D against FCS.

If Nebraska worries you more than Ohio state, you should watch more football.

I've got Colorado.

North Dakota State was a good tune up. No push over.

I don't think Nebraska will have answers for Sanders and Hunter.

Nebraska is improved and North Dakota State was a very good tune-up. UTEP isn't very good. It should be a great game, and turnovers will be a key factor again, like last year in Boulder.

Huskers should win at home, but Colorado got TCU on road last year, so in a rivalry game, which Buffalo team will Nebraska get?

Focused and clean football or undisciplined?

That will be key to team likely who wins.

Colorado offense vs. Nebraska defense determines the outcome IMO. Both units are good. High scoring game. Nebraska D will get a couple key stops. Huskers by 6.

Should be a good matchup. Imagine if Shadeur actually had a mediocre offensive line. I'm going to give it to Debby on this one because they appear to have a defense, unlike Colorado. I will be pulling like hell for Colorado though.
Debbie had a defense last year. Didn't help. The problem is the buffs defense, they suck. Their secondary is decent but their run defense is piss poor. I still think the buffs may get their win streak improved over Debby.

Nebraska.

Maybe I have been out of Iowa for too long, but the absolute hatred toward Nebraska is weird to me. Yeah, their fans can be obnoxious, but a lot of fan bases are that way.

Nebraska.
It has really helped with fans with Nebraska being in a drought for so many years. There are a surprising amount of Nebraska fans in western Iowa and they have been humbled to the point that we actually have a pretty even group of Iowa/ Neb fans that get together and watch the games now.

Back to topic - Nebraska “should “ win easy.

Debby sucks. The forums predicted a husker victory last year and the buffs weren't having it. Of course last season with wonder coach Rhule at the helm of the 5-3 huskers the forums were predicting a 8-9 win season with a win over Iowa. They choked. Lost them all. Iowa was their bowl game again.

I suspect the buffs to pull out another victory in the stadium Iowa has so much success in since the buskers joined the Big. Go Buffs!

The undisciplined buffs won by 3 scores last year.

Colorado ran for 59 yards against NDSU. Nebby + home field wins if they have any kind of pass defense.

Agreed. Was told my whole life how much Iowa sucks ass. Then it came to “we are going to dominate the terrible big ten” (they made shirts and wore them all over Omaha etc., saying 2011 big ten champs) in the summer before joining. And every year, like clockwork, the offseason hype begins once they land some former 5-star chump nobody wants anymore because they’re a cancer, so they are again talking about dominating Iowa. Basically, take your worst Nebraska posters on this board. That’s how it is in Western Iowa.
I had an ex cousin in law who you would have thought worked for the Nebby AD. Just insufferable. Also a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Probably two of the worst fanbases ever rolled into one human being. If I hated Nebby at about a 5 before him he pushed me to be way over 10 and it's never left me.
