It rained 3 times, no more than a trace all 3 times. Officially, no measurable rain at all, which is an all time record. On August 29-30, we got 2" of rain - NOTHING since. That seems almost impossible to believe, but it's true.
Normally, eastern Iowa is in the 3's for the month.
Amazing to think, end of August, Iowa as a whole was sitting great - there wasn't any appreciable drought anywhere. But September - all the other major eastern Iowa areas also got next to nothing (Burlington/Moline/Davenport got roughly a half inch). Dubuque, Iowa City...not even a tenth total but they at least had some measurable rain at some point.
Crazy really. Once again, we've gone bone dry. Hell, I honestly can't remember it really being CLOUDY on any day last month.
