They let both teams bang at the end. That’s all that you can ask for is consistency at both ends.
Sorry. That officiating is exactly what's wrong with college basketball these days.
I get refs not wanting to determine the outcome of the game in crunch time, but when you ignore blatant fouls that is exactly what you are doing.
IMO the lack the nerve to blow the whistle against an Izzo led team in crunch time gives Sparty a huge unfair advantage.

Idiotic post. Quantity means nothing. It's about blatantly obvious bad calls.
When you call things differently in minute 5 or 10 or 20 or 38, you are cowardly and affecting the outcome in a disingenuous manner. A foul is a foul is a foul, and to say otherwise is ignorant.
He makes a fair amount of idiotic posts. ALWAYS defends the officiating because he supposedly reffed grade school basketball or something like that. He’s the only poster I have on ignore because never posts anything but stupid stuff defending officials.
Fouls are not supposed to even out.
Fouls are supposed to be called on players who commit fouls.

If team A commits 20 fouls and is called for, say, 16...and team B commits 12 fouls and is called for, say, 10, the reffing was pretty fair.
If Team A commits 20 and is called for 14, and team B commits 10 and is called for 14, the reffing favored team A.
You can't base how good the reffing was on the # of fouls or violations called on the 2 teams.

It was called about the same on both ends, at least to me
When blatant fouls are not called at key points of the game, everything changes. Strategies are altered for both teams and outcomes can be affected. Ideally, refs should not determine the results of these games.

Not sure why more teams don’t play with the philosophy of “refs won’t call them all.”
Michigan State has done this for years. Refs want to keep the game moving. They’ll call some fouls but certainly let a bunch go as the game gets further along

I'd say a lot of it depends on the fact that certain coaches get a lot more leeway with the refs than others.
