Disclaimer* I am a huge fan of TNT and by no means want them gone!

However, minus some star-studded recruiting classes being put together, it does seem like there is an unusual amount of pressure on the brothers.

My question is, will we see a shake-up of one or more assistant coaches? If so, who? I don't really want this to turn into a wishlist, but rather realistic scenarios?

And secondly, what shake-ups will transfers create, and what are some possible notable transfers? For Iowa and across NCAA?

No

Just to speak about whenever or whatever will force the next staff change up. IMO its pretty clear. At some point Morningstar will need to decide if he wants his own program or is a 2nd assistant for life. Id guess that Metcalf may force that hand without saying a word, but by another school offering Brent a great job and Tom making a decision to speak now or hold his peace. That's going to be a tough day for Tom either way. I think Tom will say wait a second. But for now lets keep Brent on ice in Colorado Springs and hope gets a few recruits to Iowa City that otherwise wouldn't have.

IMO having Tom, Terry, and Metcalf makes for a very non-diverse staff. I'd rather we had a little ying/yang. Just my opinion - so don't tell me I'm not smart enough to get into tOSU.

JMO as well- I don't buy into the staff diversity argument. At the core of a program is a coaching philosophy and you need assistants to have that same philosophy as the head coach to keep athletes going down the same path without getting conflicting or confusing direction/advice. By the same token, does PSU need Gilman on staff messing up all the "fun?" Again, JMO and worth next to nothin.

The good news is that they're in the process of putting together several star-studded recruiting classes.

no offence to the op, but this question is starting to piss me off.i have a friend, not a big wrestling fan, but he knows i am and likes to talk to me about it, especially this time of year. after asking how iowa did his next question was do you think tom will survive this. this is a guy who most of his knowledge comes from me, but he knows iowa's history and thinks if we are not winning then brands is somehow not a good enough coach. i don't know what my point is, but i know i like our guys.

Will Terry ever become the HWC and only the HWC coach? Maybe along with some sort of administrative position within the athletic department? This is about the only "shake-up" I could foresee. Could coincide with Nelson coming in. I thought this was going that direction with some of the HWC sponsors being sponsors of Terry, letting him get that income stream moving.

IF that happened, being an alum, wouldn't he still be allowed to roll with everyone during practice and be coaching in all aspects except on the bench during meets/ tourneys? I know he couldn't be in the road recruiting for Iowa, but couldn't he still be going to tournaments as the HWC coach?
