The polar vortex will soon hit the U.S.

What's Freud have to do with my error?

A Freudian slip is when someone has a slip of the tongue that may reveal what they were really thinking. You wanted him to give more detail, but you accidentally said he should get rid of it which might be what you were subconsciously thinking about his comment.

Are the 'slips' supposed to make sense? I follow what you're describing, but don't get why I might actually think to 'get rid' of his comment or what that could even mean.

Either way, thanks for explaining your rationale and happy to provide a LOL.

NP. Unlike most of the people on here, I wasn't attacking you. I just thought it was a funny twist.

Didn't feel attacked and didn't realize most people on here attack me either.... I just didn't get the Freud reference - I don't think it really fits - but at least someone found humor in it.

Drove to work with -8 yesterday morning and -3 this morning in the Twin Cities. This week is the first time this winter it has gotten really cold. Looks like Monday it is supposed to be -14 in the morning and get up to -5 as a high. My daughter has a softball tournament in one of the domes here that day. Hopefully it will have heat.

Pretty normal for the upper midwest, tough for those in states on the Gulf. pretty cold for those areas

Well thanks for jinxing it!!

Nah, I have a difficult time believing we won't get at least some snow yet.

CR so far has had 3.4" this season. I want to say that the record low for a season is something like 8-9", and when you look at top 10 least snowy seasons the 10th is around 15". We average somewhere around I believe 25-27".

We're going to get more snow, the averages/records dictate this. And I saw something on YT where one of the forecasters went long term (end of January/early February) and while it's honestly a bit of educated dart throwing - models at this time are hinting at the possibility of a snowy stretch in the north central US late January into February.

Jinx or not - we're gonna get more snow. Just a matter of how much and when.
