Anyone see in the MD/KU game the guard lay it in as the other team backed off??

The in the Oregon/Duke game, Duke is playing off and the kid for Oregon shoots a 3 and makes it!

Sorry but I will say this, Fran knows how to handle winning. He will always tell our players to hold it and take a shot clock violation in that situation. Tonight I have witness two teams pull garbage buckets which looks bad! just my opinion.

I saw both and agree neither shot needed to be taken. In the Kansas game, I think Mason was goofing around and was just flipping the ball up at the basket and the ball went in. Oregon was probably a little more in your face but given they were beating a blue blood, the kid decided he would fire it up. Both should have been avoided.

I think the worst part of the Kansas game was the officials. That last shot by Mason was obviously taken before the game was over but took officials about 3minutes to decide and it didn't matter. Those officials in that game were pretty bad from missing lots of traveling, to obvious missed double dribble, to calling double technical when they should have just end stepped between the players to calling a foul every 20 seconds. There was a stretch in second half that I think a foul was called every time down the court on both teams for about 4 minutes, or at least it felt like that watching it. Poor flow for sure and Maryland didn't adjust well

How about garbage threes? Like Nova coach puts the starter back in. I don't mind so much subs getting into a game and wanting to score even in the last second, but starters?

And then Coach K has the nerve to tell him to quit being a hotdog. Maybe coach K should worry more about players who trip and then never disciplined

I am growing really tired of all these gradually formed un-written rules about not trying at the end-of-games because it might hurt the other teams feelings. If that's the case let's just allow the losing opponent to raise a 'white' surrender flag at any point under 3 minutes and the game is over then. It's such a travesty to watch the final minutes where both teams just stand around and do nothing. What's the point?

It's further idiotic when the deep subs finally get put into the game at this point to do this non-sense 'nothing'. That used to be a fun time in the game where both teams would unload their bench and some walk-on guy who never gets to play drains a 3 ball. Crowds would chant & scream for some of these guys. Now that's all gone with this bogus un-written rules stuff.

Virginia just dribbling out the clock against the clones and Burton swipes the ball and goes down and lays it in to cut the deficit from 15 to 13. He'll look back fondly on that someday I suppose.
