Probably time to have this discussion.
Luka is at 1,918 career points. All-time mark by Roy Marble is 2,116 points. At his current pace he's probably getting there in eight or nine games. Maybe less, maybe slightly more. Probably top two or three in rebounds, I think, based on his current pace. He's the odds on favorite to be named national player of the year.
I mean, it's an easy call.
I think the question is timing. Personally, I think maybe Fran and Gary Barta announce it at the final home game against Wisconsin and given where things are in the world, they do a ceremony next year when they can hopefully have a full CHA, so fans can be part of the ceremony.
Thoughts?
