It will be a waste of time. I think people would be surprised how little people fight when they see the military opening fire, with superior weaponry, and slaughtering people around them.
I was living in Thailand during the coup d'état of 2010 and 2014. In 2010, the red shirt protestors were wreaking havoc on downtown and burning down dozens of businesses. Now remember, guns are legal in Thailand. One in six people are legal gun owners. There are actually more gun deaths there per 100,000 people than in the States. No shortage of guns.
So the military lines up along the elevated train lines and opens fire on the protesters below. Killed 92 people. The meditation center and temple next to my office became a triage center for the dead and wounded.
You know what the protesters did? They went home....quickly. Protests over.
I hate to see this in HK but something tells me China will win.....regardless of what the locals do.
