Yep band, Marching band jazz band. Around 60 professional musicians out of the program. Taylor Swift guitarist at one point, lead Trumpet in Wynton Marsalis band. Won jazz at state over 10 times in a 2 decade stretch. For football games people came to watch the band, not the football except for 1 year.

Yeah, he didn't give them any specific coaching advice. Basically just told them to stop sucking. Probably would have been fired for being a shitty coach eventually anyway. This just expedited it.

I know this is college but some years back, I sat first row at Kinnick, right behind the Iowa bench for a game. I had more fun watching the coaches than the game. The coaches would just light up players. “Get your fvcking heads out of your fvcking asses and do you your fvcking jobs”. Crap like that all game long.
