BC was over matched on the lines. Iowa came out sleep walking and the 2nd half proved they were over matched on the lines. Play a whole game like the 2nd half and it's probably 31-6 Iowa.

ThisLook at the stats. Boston college should have blown us out. We had turnovers at key plays of the game. Both teams looked like a 7 win team

the player of the game by far was the guy who chose those shoes for BC, or the shoes themselves.
Happy to get the win. It's GREAT to be a HAWKEYE!BC was over matched on the lines. Iowa came out sleep walking and the 2nd half proved they were over matched on the lines. Play a whole game like the 2nd half and it's probably 31-6 Iowa.

BC has some D-1 studs on both lines, dude. This game is not indicative of either program. Conditions were shit, we stayed in the game in the first half with special teams field position (Akrum Wadley) and defense. We controlled field position for most of the second half. We came out on top, and I'm happy we did, but this game was not indicative of either program. If I were to give you anything, the progress/depth in our DL is probably ahead of what BC does on their OL right now. Doesn't hurt having 3 senior LBs (including an all-American). And with our recruiting on the back end in D, I'm hopeful we can adjust our schemes slightly if we don't have 3 every down LBs next year. But our OL has been in a struggle for a few years as far as attrition/depth. We started two freshmen at TACKLE for the vast majority of the year. More successful programs have found day 1 tackles, but that hasn't been our blueprint almost ever (notable exception or two). Our OL hasn't been consistently dominant like earlier versions of KF football.BC was over matched on the lines. All this is great. I Think the game was a microcosm of our season and their last 6 games colliding. Our inconsistency on Offense and slow starts. They came in hot like they've been recently. Then we shut them down with our defense. Had alot of trouble on the road this year but not tonight! Valuable experience and victory tonight against a solid foe.I hate this sleep walking narrative. For ****s sake the team hadn't played for 4 weeks and stepped onto an ice skating rink. BC did as well. We knew our offense was off and on all year and the timing/conditions didn’t help. Team made adjustments at half and sacked up. It was a fun hard fought game.
