Might want to check out some AA meetings in your area if this is one of your concerns prior to the biggest Iowa football game in 75 years.

Wondering same thing and if it isn't general sale to public WTF?!
He was asking a simple question, and if I were going to the game I would ask it to.
How would they limit how many beers you can buy? I've never heard of that. How could they even tell how many a person has bought throughout the game?Wow I realize they don't want to, but its going to be extra $$ coming in. I think most fans are responsible and could handle it. I mean I know going to a Bears game a few years ago, they only allowed you like 3 beers and then you were cut off. They also stopped selling at the start of the 4th quarter I do believe.
They sold beer last year in the Bowl Game?

I believe any championship event they do not sell alcohol. Atleast not on the main level atleast this has been the case the past 8 years I have gone to NCAA wrestling nationals and all of those arenas except Des Moines were in arenas where a professional team playsWhen I went to the final four at the superdome, I was shocked there were no beer sales.....oh well.....buzz kill
So does anybody have the definite answer? Will they sell alcohol or not?
Bowls are different then conference/NCAA hosted events. That is really suprising all these other events don't have booze. I always thought it was based on the stadium and they must have beer for Colts games right?
I drank at the Capital One bowl years ago... Not sure why the rules would be different here.

Holy crap....pretty big leap there. Who doesn't like to have a beer while they watch football?Might want to check out some AA meetings in your area if this is one of your concerns prior to the biggest Iowa football game in 75 years.
Agree 100%Might want to check out some AA meetings in your area if this is one of your concerns prior to the biggest Iowa football game in 75 years.

Head Hawk and some rookie named hansi I guess.
They both sound like they'd be fun to party with - not.
Are you people really unable to enjoy a football game unless you're buzzed?
Is it that you really don't like the sport or that you have a dependency problem?

Yes, the perpetually single 50 year old is probably the one that would be fun to party with!Head Hawk and some rookie named hansi I guess.

Wow. These things aren't mutually exclusive. A guy can enjoy having some beers and watching football without having a "problem."
If watching football and drinking beer isn't appropriate, when exactly is it appropriate to have some beers?
I agree that they are not mutually exclusive. Drinking and watching football is not inappropriate. BUT...if not having beer ruins your experience and you're upset about it days in advance, I think that's the definition of having a problem.
Wait, are you really criticizing somebody for asking if the stadium will sell alcohol? Look around, we have a million different threads talking about the game. We can't talk about the experience? Nobody said having the stadium not serve alcohol would diminish the experience in any way, it just would be a lot more fun if they had.
I understand that alcohol might not make the game more fun for you, and I get that. But don't criticize other people's questions based on your own beliefs.
