Singletary and Romero to tOSU

Yup I know a few people on here were aware of that. You guys have the board with the best discussion though and I love talking wrestling in general that's why I'm here
Cool. They have a great team! Think White might make his way back there next year if he gets his grades under control? White 65 and Romero 74 would be real tough.

It would be nice but it seems like that ship is sailing more and more. I think he ends up at Notre Dame. PBS would be the best person in the know on that situation

I believe tOSU was named in the final 5 for Fix and Warner so it seems unlikely (more unlikely than yesterday) they will land either.

Nomad just tweeted something along the lines of Romero is the first 100 recruit for tOSU but expect a few more to come in the near future. I think there gonna get at least on more guy. Demas is also a possibility.

White is currently at Notre Dame and I for one am hoping he gets whatever it is he needs to do and ends up at tOSU. Warner is being recruited for 184#. Demas is projected at the same weight as the coach's son, so I don't know how much love tOSU is going to show him when it comes to scholarship $$.

Also going after Carr who will be around there as well so I don't know how much of a look demas gets

Warner will be a 197 in college.

tOSU grad as well.
Honestly, any 97 or HWY should be drooling, right now, at the chance to be at tOSU. You get the chance to be with 97 and 125 kg Olympians, drilling daily with Kyle Snyder and being coached by Tergel Dlagnev. I cant think of a better pathway to success at those weights.
So, doesnt surprise me that Singletary ended up choosing tOSU.
But, I assume this means they knew they were not getting Gable Stevenson. And, if he then ends up at Iowa State... making that future lineup very very salty... would this be the factor that entices David Carr to choose his father's school? Carr, Stevenson, Gomez, Verkleeren, Allar, etc..thats a good lineup base.

Demas' brother (former tOSU) is now coaching at Rutgers. Wouldnt be surprised if Dom ends up there. But, heard once that he wouldnt need scholarship monies (no idea if true), so he was very enticing for tOSU.

165: tOSU really needs some points out of 165 when they have their peak year in 2017-18, when Snyder, Tomasello, BoJordan are all seniors and bonus point wrestlers, Myles Martin and MicahJordan are juniors with finals potential, and Keyshawn Hayes and Kollin Moore are sophomores with a year under their belt. Thats a very legit lineup at nationals. After losing all the potential 165s (Marinelli, then going after Mark Hall, then landing Isaiah White but losing him to grades), they are left without any point potential. Elijah Cleary was a mid level recruit who will redshirt this year and could be their 165 in 2017/8. But, I fully expect them to push Kaleb Romero to be their 65 in 2017/18 and hope he can score some points at nationals. If Isaiah White can get qualified, then expect Kaleb to redshirt and take over for BoJo at 174 in 2018-19.

Just some opinions, could be wrong.

Warner is definitely not being recruited as 184. He weighs 215 as a high school senior, he doesn't see under 190 again

I agree he looks like a 197# wrestler but tOSU doesn't need another 197#, they need a 184# to replace MyMar in a couple of years. With Singletary committing to tOSU, does Warner still take his official visit to tOSU?

Dar.of.Emur, enjoyed the read I can't disagree with your comment. I would add that Romero has mentioned that he weighs around 190# so making 165# might be a challenge. Of course that's football weight so he might be okay making 165#.

Points need to come from Micah Jordan as well. He had an excellent season but came up short at nationals, hopefully that was a one time deal.

Nothing like starving yourself and sitting for two years. Probably best for Warner and tOSU to split ways at this point. Warner is going to be better than Kollin Moore but Moore is good enough that there isn't a logical reason to recruit over him. From what I hear, I'd be surprised if Warner isn't a hawkeye

Carr, Decatur, or D’Emilio. Decatur would be my guess as well

You'd think it would have to be Decatur or D'emilio(both 25's).

Decatur > D'emilio.

Carr looks the be getting big. I wonder if he ends up at 65. I believe his brother is coaching at Lock Haven. Think they get a look from him?

Don't know, but certainly the Bucks will do everything they can to keep all three: Decatur, D'Emilio, and Carr in-state.

Decatur will be the next one to commit. He's young (sophomore) and alot of things can change from the time he commits until signing day.

Carr does have ties with ISU since both his dad and brother wrestled there but I don't see him going anywhere but tOSU, jmo.

Hard to know what weight Decatur will be in 3 years. His father is around 5'4" or 5'5" (my best guess), so I doubt Jordan will ever be a middle weight. But, he looks to me like a 133, if I had to guess.
D'emilio is very small and thin, and a year older than Decatur. Think he is a 125 for sure, and possibly a career.
But, D'emilo's hometown is in the Toledo area near the *ichigan border and very very close to scUM (like 30 miles.) I have no idea on this kids recruitment... but I would assume scUM may be considered his "local" school.

Decatur probably won't be a 125 in college. David Carr was just on the Lock Haven campus so I'd imagine his brother is playing apart in them being in the conversation

You're not alone in that sentiment I'm sure Ryan and company feel the same way

I too would think that tOSU coaches feel that way but at the same time, bringing in Warner and Singletary for a visit is a smart move. It'll be interesting to see the level of interest they have in Warner now that Singletary has verbally committed.

Their plan is to have singletary at HWT so I don't think it'll change much

Right, Singletary at HWT has always been the plan but I also heard that Warner was being recruited to fill the 184#, not 197#. The consensus is that he'll never make that weight. So the only other scenario is that tOSU recruiting over Moore. TR has been praising Moore alot over the past year.

I hope tOSU gets Warner and figures out a way to get Moore and Warner in the lineup.

I honestly thought they were recruiting over Moore. When you're trying to win titles these type of things need to happen. Only other scenario is that Moore drops which may be possible. I believe he wrestled 170 his senior year
