Are they this year's Ohio State? They do not seem to be on anyone's radar as the weeks are winding down, but they are hiding out near the top 10. They had a bad loss at the beginning of the year to South Carolina. Nonetheless, they've been rolling every since. Given there have been a couple of close games with Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech. I think the Tar Heels can beat Clemson in the ACC championship and that will cause them to leap into the Top 4 and drop the Tigers out.

I think Iowa's best chances are for North Carolina to beat Clemson in the ACC championship, Michigan State to beat Ohio State this week and then face Iowa in the B1G championship, Stanford to beat Notre Dame, and of course, Iowa needs to run the table.

They might not even make it if they win out and win the ACC title game. They are the only power 5 school to play two FCS schools in the non-conference (Delaware & North Carolina A&T). I guess that is really frowned upon and hurting them.

I actually think they'll beat Clemson. Not sure if that will be enough to get them in or not.

Look at the impressive wins by UNC: Illannoy, Pittsburgh and Duke.
Illannoy for the scoring margin.
The Clemson-UNC championship might be interesting.

Living in tarheel country, I can say the UNC bandwagon was indeed starting to gain some steam...

...and then the basketball season started.

That Texas loss for Oklahoma is pretty woof though. I would be surprised if the Big 12 hurts themselves over the last couple of weeks though. TCU over Oklahoma then Oklahoma over Okie State.

That UNC basketball wagon might fall apart after Saturday! :D
