Snow sucks balls

3.5" on the deck this morning (CR near Kirkwood). Still coming down lightly.

I had planned on getting one of my snowblower fleet going during the break (they all ran perfectly fine when parked), seems like this is enough to make quick work of it once the sun comes up. The ol' 1971 Ariens 922002 4hp seems like a good choice.

Yay, playing with snowblowers!
Why did frosty thr snowman drop his pants? He heard the snowblower coming. I like snow, 25 an hour!

LOL, I'll bet you lose your s**t when your snow blower doesn't crank up, or it's -14. Post here about all of your contentment when the first Alberta clipper rolls through.
To be clear, I don’t love massive snowstorms or bitter cold weather, but they are temporary incidents and come with the territory of changing seasons which I legitimately love and would hate to miss out on.

I don’t mind a little bit of adversity/challenge - keeps life interesting! 🙂

I don’t have any data to back this up, but having done what I have for so long, inclement weather seems to bring the worst out in many drivers.
The first snowstorm is usually pretty bad. Lot's of people lose their inclement weather driving skills. They are going too fast, and not giving proper following distance. It's pretty simple, really. You have to factor in people who think their vehicle will protect them from everything with sensors and anti-lock brakes, and all the other features and gadgets.
And, then, you have the straight up asshats, morons, CDL drivers with 3 months experience, and people too clueless who just should have stayed at home.

I worded that poorly. Inclement weather seems to bring out the worst in drivers, by that I mean just inconsiderate assholes. Our equipment all has flashing lights and is big enough that you can’t miss it. The shit people will do when we are actually trying to help is mind bottling. They are typically the same people that need a tow, need a push, etc. I try to help everyone I can, but some people suck.

Good news! It is supposed to be in the 40's towards the middle to end of the week!

It's absolutely terrible. Especially those from southern states that aren't used to driving in the snow. We were pulling people over for going 90 plus mph on snow covered roads.
For sure dude. Our industries aren’t exactly linked, but we tend to work in the worst conditions. People need to take a breath, be considerate, and chill the fvck out. I try to practice what I preach, but mother of god there are times when I lose my mud bc, again, some people suck.

I'm usually very calm in my job. I try to remember that everyone I deal with will remember our interaction for a long time, so I try to treat them right. When it snows I struggle with that!! If people would just slow down they would stay out of the ditches and make it to their destination.
