Bought a grill at Lowe's and it was scheduled to be delivered this morning (on Sunday?). At 7:30 am (still 6:30 brain time) I got a text from Lowe's that it would be delivered from 1:00 to 5:00 today. Two minutes later I got a very cheerful call from Mario - "Good morning sir! I have a delivery for you! I'll be there in 30 minutes!" 😑

When they (with Daniel, his sleepy white assistant that didn't speak") arrived, cheerful Mario says, "Good morning sir! It's a beautiful morning! Where would like your grill?" I directed him to the deck and said, "You guys are at it bright and early this morning".

Mario says, "We have a lot of stuff in the truck and I didn't want your grill to get scratched!" :) He then commented on the beautiful view from my deck. :)

When they are done, he gives me a card asks me to give them a good review, "... so I can continue to work in the States". Of course, I don't know his citizenship status, but I thought it was an interesting comment. I was also amazed that he didn't murder me or rape my wife (no pics),

You don't need much talent or experience to deliver a grill, but this guy gave it 100%. But, he'll probably be deported soon so deliveries can be made by some sleepy white guy that doesn't give a shit.

He may have been on his best behavior, but agree he was probably a great employee before this administration.

I have witnessed "sleepy employees" across different races in the workforce and as a consumer to be clear.

I used to date a fantastic Brazilian chick that came to the US on a basketball scholarship, became a citizen, worked her ass off and ended up with 3 careers at the same time by the time I met her: project manager, real estate agent and flipping/renting houses.

What was impressive was the immigrant community she hung out with. Brazilians, Africans, East Indians, etc. that were obsessed with achieving the American Dream. That's all they talked about when we got together was comparing notes on how to get ahead and make more money.

For example, her closest friend from college - another basketball player from Brazil - is now the strength and conditioning coach for the Denver Nuggets. I think the most intense guy I've ever met.

One African guy ended up head of distribution for Anheuser-Busch. Another Brazilian couple started a baby clothes business online and ended up pulling a few mill a year from online sales.

Spend some time around immigrants and their work ethic will totally blow you away.

There is truth to this, buddy of mine from college is Filipino, spent a lot of time at his parents place and only met his Dad once because he had multiple jobs.

They also had Volvos and Lexus cars, large house and the Star Wars laser discs and player at the time. Great people.

What is going on the grill today?

No doubt many immigrants legal and illegal take full advantage of the wonderful opportunity that being in this country has to offer them.

What is wrong with wanting immigration being orderly and lawful? Which is essentially the difference between the Dem/GOP immigration positions.

The Dems seem to want chaos in order for the NGO grifters to take financial advantage of the chaos. Funneling billions to shadowy unelected bureaucratic NGOs to facilitate the messy process?

Why should we not want to improve and perfect the process?

Why should we not want reduced drug trafficking?

Why should we not want reduced human trafficking?

The Biden Administration oversaw and allowed the most drug trafficking and human trafficking in American history?

Isn’t this shameful?

Do they not have any remorse?

Are the bodies for the census and federal apportionments really worth all the death and destruction of families and communities it wrought?

Well?

Congrats on the stakeout! Now he will tell his friends where the “nice American with the beautiful deck view and wife ready to rape lives.”

Just a matter of time now before you are robbed blind and you are tied up and they take turns banging your wife on your deck and Mario says “heya buddy! Howa you like-a my frienda Luigi here witha your wife! Nice-a viewa on youra decka huh buddy! I thinka she like-a Luigi! I thinka she like-a Mario too! I thinka she like-a Mario & Luigi same-a time-a yes!?!?!?!?”

This is a subject that hits me close to home.
My no pics wife is in the LEGAL immigration process from Ecuador. It is a lengthy, detail oriented and expensive process.
(I’m sure that brought a smile to the face of a few of the trolls on here but I bet they couldn’t pass the history test I will be helping her study for).
She moved here to provide a better life for family in Ecuador that we love very much. She currently has 3 jobs. Tyson foods, Wingstop and Uber in her spare time. Also she was taking an English as a second language class at Kirkwood but she has finished that last week.
