So if the JBO haters haven’t figured it out

It wasn't just that last shot. JBo made a couple of other clutch threes late that, had they not gone in, Iowa would have lost, and there would have been no chance for last-second heroics that parents will be telling their children about 20 years from now.

Can you imagine playing in front of 16,000 rabid Indiana fans, the Hoosier defense all over you, and you firing in a game-winner from the logo? LOL

Haters gonna hate, but as others have said, no player or coach or human being is without flaws . . . well, except, maybe, for the JBo critics of course. As for the rest of us, give JBo the credit he and his teammates deserve. That was a victory for the ages, a win against all odds, a shot that will live in Hawkeye lore as long as they lace 'em up and play the game.

I was critical of Jbo the first half of the season... because he just wasn't very good. Any objective basketball fan could see that. But man, when Fran flipped the starting lineup he has improved defensively and hit some big buckets. I'm really happy for the guy, he could easily be making a good chunk of change in the international game, but came back and has been a strong veteran presence for the team. Good for him.

All players have times of playing well and not as well.... If you call pointing out when a player is playing poorly "hating" you really must be a fragile little bitch. I guess I agree with Belichick that no one including the GOAT qb and coach is above criticism.

Truly hating means you don't want them to succeed and there are very few who want that I'd hope so let's just drop the hater BS. Any objective fan should be able to acknowledge that jbo is a different player since going back to pg, credit to Fran for making that change. It's nice to have old jbo back

Yet…..this is why he’s so valuable. He’s not perfect, he has flaws, and weaknesses BUT he has tremendous value. Fran knows what he’s doing.

Feeling so damn good for that kid.
I noticed I found myself wishing he was back on the court a few times... he's just been great this year.

Enough with the haters stuff. He made clutch shots but he’s also a big part of the reason why we were in a hole.
I think that’s the exact sentiment right there…. I think some fans see bad play, bad stretches and just can’t get beyond that.

The truth is that EVERY player misses shots, makes turnovers, gets beat on defense….etc etc….but only a small percentage hit shots under pressure in a number of games during their career.

This is a young man who committed to Iowa and has been a loyal Hawkeye for 6 seasons and set Iowa and B10 records along the way…a young man who’s career and accomplishments should be celebrated for what they are….an Iowa kid, grew up in eastern Iowa and played for his home state…. And for some reason other Iowa fans just can’t support him, feel the need to be negative.

Feeling so damn good for that kid.
The use of the term "haters" immediately undermines any valid point you may have made.

And regarding Fran knowing what he's doing:

On Jan 31, Iowa lost at Penn State 90-86 in double OT. Iowa's record after that game was 14-7, 4-6.

On Feb 6, vs Minnesota, Fran made 2 changes:

(1) Jordan was back at starting Point Guard;

(2) Tony Perkins was the new starting 2 guard.

The result of this change?

* Iowa has now won 11 of its last 13 and has a record of 25-9.
* Iowa is a projected 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament
* They are playing in the B1G Tournament FINAL for the first time since 2006.
