One of the greatest baseball era of all time has passed. September 29, 1954, the NY Polo Grounds he made the most memorable catch in the history of baseball. Willie flying around the bases having his cap fly offf his head….Willie playing the majority of his baseball career in what had to be the shittiest baseball stadium God ever built and still being Willie Mays!
RIP sir…. Well done!

Most amazing thing I’ve read so far is that he nearly had an assist at every base in a single game, but for second baseman dropping the tag.
