I'm all for eliminating the making of pennies.

It's interesting to think about HOW you carry that out.... So few people even use cash anymore, we probably have WAY more pennies in circulation than what we actually need.

And pennies physically last decades, so they can just stop making them and leave things alone for awhile.

I'm in favor of allowing credit/debit transactions to use $.01 and if you want to pay cash, round up.

While I get what you’re saying, have you taken a look at inflation recently? I don’t think we should be worried about 5 cents on every product when it’s already been raised a couple of dollars.

I would argue that makes it an even more important reason to make sure you aren't giving companies freebie money. Particularly since much of the inflation is from profiteering companies price gouging.
