The season is really going to kick-off in just two days? I havn't been so ready for a football season to arrive since I don't know when.

Definitely a different tone for the whole fan base than a year ago
I hear ya. I printed my tickets off for Saturday's game yesterday.
It's been a long wait.
Same situation with me. I went off the deep end in the second half of the season after we beat Northwestern. I was checking all the news sites every hour and listening to podcasts all day at work.
This year, I have high expectations but I am going to try and be more "detached".
It's truly a great time to be a Hawk, considering: we have been good now since 1979 (a nice 35+ years of foundational history), we went undefeated last year in the regular season and went to the Rose Bowl, established ourselves with a West title and Championship Game appearance, we have a returning stellar QB and team, new facilities and a bright future with strong recruiting. Go Hawks!
Everyone is excited now, but before we know it they will have just played there bowl game and we will be depressed because we have to wait till next September to see the Hawks play again.
I'm heading over with my Dad and Aunt, coming from Des Moines as well. It can't get here fast enough.

You remember those....? I think over half the board wasn't born yet when those came out.
I'm super stoked for the season. But have SO much summer stuff/work to do I need another month.... Oh well, let the games begin!
