Some positives from last night (Tues 2/25)

Ryan Kreiner, the pride of Spirit Lake, IA, had a great game!
Ryan could be YUUUUUGE down the stretch.

Connor & Cordell, plus Luka were good, as well.

Also, Fran was much more in control than the Whiney, raging maniac, Izzo.

Oh and one other very positive development, from last night:

DUKE lost ! Always a positive and think it's their 2nd loss this week !!!

Fran was in control because his team was fighting, not backing down. This group is a tough bunch, they are not intimidated----difficult environment to win. And don't you wish Izzo would coach his players, his team as much as he feels it is necessary to influence referees. For that, he is a piece of dog crap.

We will be fine. This has proven it won’t fade in February so we should be good down the stretch

RK is a matchup problem for a lot of teams- can play low with good post D and moves, and can stretch out and shoot the 3. Glad to see he is having a great senior year overall. He can be our little X factor.

Pemsl played ragged down the stretch and made a couple costly brain farts when Iowa could have cut into the lead. But first half and midway through the second he played well. He's just not usually on the floor in crunch time and didn't seem to recognize the value of possessions at that juncture. But overall, he was an important cog and helped Iowa stay in the game until the last few minutes.
