The statement that a recruit is "still growing" actually comes to fruition often enough to make it tantalizing but doesn't happen often enough to make most fans rather skeptical.
For all the justifiable excitement about Cook's commitment, if Wieskamp's ranking holds, he could be the highest ranked recruit Iowa's had since player rankings meant anything. The irony, of course, is that in order for Wieskamp to end up at #19 in 2018, he will have to "keep growing" like Kriener is supposed to be doing.
Yep, it's ridiculous that rivals does not have Wieskamp in the top 25.Scout and ESPN have it right. Best player in the state since Paige. Nik Stauskas/Devyn Booker type of player.
How many of the top 50 high school players have you seen play?
The only kid in the ESPN top 25 who is already committed - pretty cool!

Oh, no, I agree. That was kind of my point. There are times L12 goes overboard, but he does serve a good purpose at times.

CyCity joined April of this year...Iowan555 Sept 21,2015 (at least under this name)...8 days ago...most of us know why they are here on a "free" Hawkeye site. If any of us had gone to the other side & posted what they have posted...we would have ban a long time ago.

Fran wanted Jackson over Bohannon (no factual info to claim this at all).
Iowa & ISU both needed to get a good PG - ISU got one (Jackson)..Iowa got a fallback (Bohannon)... on a Hawkeye site that is nothing more than a smart ass comment.
If you look at Jackson & Williams (Christian) - Jackson is 100% better (100%...better....not 10 not 20...ONE HUNDRED).
I could go on & on....you are not here to carry on nice little conversations with Hawkeye fans...and you know it...

I get all of this Legend....but it would be nice you also hold a little standard for some of your ISU brothers when they post on a free Hawkeye site...I for one was & am getting a little sick and tired of reading all things great about ISU and all we got was a PG fallback...
I do think Bohannon was a fallback recruit and I know there were Hawk fans out there that weren't too excited about the commitment. I still think he will be a decent role player I just think Iowa would have been better off which a playmaker at PG and it appeared Fran was trying to recruit one of those before offering Bohannon.

89/91 is the biggest issue on this site right now....get rid of him and a lot of the problems cease to exist as I think some of the other "new" posters are his cellmates at the institution as they all seem to travel from board to board as a pack.
Then we can go back to Farmer Clone and Lone Clone being the main ISU posters on the board (sorry if I missed others) and while we don't always agree with them, the conversation is almost always civil and it's nice to have different opinions on here.
Oh, and Iowa DID get a fallback PG in this upcoming class. But who knows how that will turn out. Probably better than that stiff Aaron White from a few years back.

I am....those are the 2 I enjoy the most, especially Lone's stuff about the history of the 2 programs. Yes, it almost always has an ISU slant, but still some good stuff for hoops junkies.
Who are the others that have historically posted the most on here? Those are the 2 that immediately came to mind for me.

I would say this. If the Iowa/ISU stuff could be kept on threads started by ISU fans, or related to ISU posts started by Iowa fans, I have no problem. And on those threads when the Clones get on my nerves I'm likely to jump in and tell them where to put their opinions. I used to avoid it, but after ISU lost to Iowa it got a little too silly.
But yes, it shouldn't spread to threads such as this one, that was started with a couple pieces of info about the Hawkeyes.
